1998 Canada Ten Cents

Do you have a Canadian dime and want to know its value? Leave a comment

Coins can be icky. Sure people here all the stories about germs on notes and bills. The fact that people touch money will always make it a breeding ground for nastiness. That said it is all relatively harmless especially if you have access to running water. Oddly enough silver has some antibacterial properties so older coins were marginally safer. Plastic tends to be very germ friendly so the future of money just gets dirtier.

This Canadian dime was blotchy and I refuse to think about what made it so blotchy.

Found a perfect background for this coin.

Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 10 Cents / Canada
Year: 1998
Mintage: 203,514,000
Metal: 100% Nickel
Value: $0.10 (This one is stained)

I seriously need to take a day trip to Canada and return the favor.

Do you have ten cents from Canada and want to know its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.

16 dollars worth, for Comments/Questions click here.:

So were is the Aladdin's Castle arcade from?
--All over malls in America, they started small sometime in the 60s or 70s then as video games came into being they grew hundreds by the late 80s.
By 1993 they were bought by Namco and stopped issuing tokens in arcades but they do lots of amusement park stuff around the world.

is there a market for any of the coins ?
--Except for the silver coin the rest are common and not popular. Granted with Pakistan in the news that may change.

I have a $50 bill with the words "United States Of America" bleeding from the back to the front very noticeably, and a second with minor bleeding. Both from 1990. Since the light one is so faint I'll skip sending an image. Here is a link to the one with the heavier bleeding. http://tinypic.com/r/orpi83/7

Very minor Offset transfer error maybe at most $55.00 but generally these do not sell well.

Hiya! I have one the same as you pictured but perfect condition. Worth anything special beyond 10 cents?

I have one the same as you pictured but perfect condition.

If graded perfect MS-70 it would about $1,800.00.

That said I doubt yours is truly perfect but it would need grading.

I'm not any sort of an expert but it shows very little wear on it and was just super shiny - which is what caught my attention. Thanks for the reply. Any particular reason it'd be so much?

Because a perfect coin is very rare.

The fact your coin has any wear means that it is not even mint state, all Canadian dimes are shiny in higher grades.

Without a picture I'm guessing your coin is almost-uncirculated not a perfect 70.
AU-50 is just $0.10.
