Hello
I was wanting to find out if you would be able to help me
I have 8 consecutive 20 dollar bills without the little 20 printed on the back of any of them
I have enclosed a picture of the front of one and the back of another
would you be able to tell me what they are worth
any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank You
Belinda
Error 20'S
Wow she linked pictures and everything.
And if you thought that would simplify it you were wrong.
This was beyond my knowledge, beyond my Web search, even beyond my books. So I looked into my network of collectors who also never saw this error.
The small yellow "20"s on the back is an anti-copying security feature,
--Check for the nylon thread on the front to the left of the left side-dark seal.
--Check for the watermark of Jackson's head on the front to the right of the right-sided green seal.
--Hold the bill in front of a light to see the hidden features.
If they are not there then you have counterfeit bills. Which also has value.
If they are there then the bills are real and according to my source each bill is worth $200.00 for a total of $1,600.00. (This is only an educated guess since yours are the first reported.)
Thanks for the visit Belinda and sorry for the long delay but it is a new bill and a strange error.
If I have more updates or find them on eBay I'll post a link but I'd try to sell half of them to a local dealer before more are found.
Here is a cool error that sold on eBay for $10,100 in May 2003 and now sold at $25,300.
It's called the "banana note" and has a Del Monte sticker that fell on it midway during printing and was not caught and destroyed.
Do you have note or currency and want to know its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.
1757 dollars worth, for Comments/Questions click here.:

I believe you call this a reverse offset printing. Serial # D28775449F

This bill is in good condition. can you dell me how much is worth?

This is normal it would be a very minor offset transfer error but it has no extra value.
I have a stack of "like new" 1981 $20 bills that my, recently deceased, Mom kept in her safe. They appear to be uncirculated. What are they worth? Any more than face value? Thanks.

"like new" 1981 $20 bills
Depends on serial number but at most $25.00 each but if not high grade then just face value.

We have a $20 bill with what looks like a panther on it. It it jumping over the "T" of the word twenty on the face side middle right side in the phrase "USA TWENTY" and is the same color as the outside boarder. The series is 2004 and mint is G3. My boyfriend is a pressman and can definitely tell is is a print issue. Have you ever heard of this or heard out a print issue like this?
I have a 1996 twenty dollar bill that is off center with too much white at the top and very little on bottom. This is on both sides. It appears to be genuine. Does anyone know about this misprint?
my husband has a twenty dollar bill he found while working at his gas station the word twenty does not have the green stamp we have taken it to the bank and there is no way it is fake they marked it and ran it under a light. is it worth anything???

This of course is not possible. This could be an ink smear error or damage, without a clear image it is difficult to tell.

I think you are describing an Offset Printing error, but without a picture it's hard to say.
They average $25.00 in fine.
I got a $20 at work today, circulated, but it's misaligned on the front.
The print for the front of the 20 is all the way at the top, leaving barely a millimeter, but the back is completely normal. It also looks like it might be at a slight angle as well on the front.
It's 2004, serial EL20374585 A

I found a hundred dollar bill from 1996 that looks like it printed off. The front of the bill is moved up so the edge of the bill starts the darker green print. The back is printed normal. I also have dollar coins one is a 1886 E Pluribus Unum,1879 E Pluribus Unum, 1921 E Pluribus Unum, and a 1926 think it might be a peace dollar :has "Liberty" written on front looks like a woman with a crown and it says " In God we trvst " with a "v". Back has the eagle standing on rock that says "peace" on it. Anything you know would help.

This is the above dollar coins.

1886 mintmark is O about $25.00

I have a $1 dollar bill F 50499850 X is the S# it's in pretty good condition no tears or stains but has been folded. I'm not sure of the year 1988 or 1985 the last number is to faded. It has bright vivid seals and numbers but you can barely see George and the rest of the front. I know that it's an insufficient ink error on the second run. Any idea what it's worth? Ebay had a series of 6 listed 2003 dollars for $76,000 in mint condition. Also I have a 1863 Colombian Expo .50 in mint condition. Please help.
Sorry forgot to leave picture links to the above ink error.

From what I am reading it may be worth something. If you can give me an idea, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to attach a picture, but I am usure how to do it in this venue.

Is it an American bill?
If so only green and black ink are used on U.S. bill it is not possible to have a red color error.
If you want post a picture at a free site and drop a link to see if it is possible that it maybe something that could be explained.

About 10 years ago, I was given a $20 bill while working and have held on to it ever since. The ink on the right side of the bill is partially cut off, but the bill itself extends further than a normal bill. I was curious if you could tell me anything about the specific error, and if it has any value. I appreciate any help you can give. I have posted a link to 2 photos below.

Nice, this is a Cutting Error it's about $250.00 because the condition looks high grade.
It happens when the bill folds onto itself and then gets cut.

That may drop the value by half and most likely eBay or try a forum where currency is big.
Good pictures will be required when selling online.
Thanks for the response I have searched the internet and found nothing but I came across this sight and thought I would give it a try I tried asking some people but they have never seen a bill with the stamp all the way to the right of george washington's head and thanks again for the response.
federal reserve stamp is on the right of washington close to but not on the other seal. its a little lower to the right of the other seal next to it but not covering each seal at all
Does this make it more money any help would be appricated
My mother has a $20 bill put away. There is nothing wrong with it, except there is a maple leaf stamp just above the seal. it is green in color and does not bleed through the back of the bill. She took it to a bank, and they said it looks as if it was done at the mint. I've heard of a mushroom stamp on a $20 bill as well and it was worth well more than face value.
federal reserve stamp is on the right of washington close to but not on the other seal. its a little lower to the right of the other seal next to it but not covering each seal at all
This is better classified as a Misaligned Overprint error it is a "uni-color shift of the district information" or "dropped block error". It has been left out of recent Error books but in extra-fine it is $450.00.
how much is it worth in average to poor condition with a sharpie mark

Heritage auctions look under there currency section and maybe email or call them to see what they charge and any relevant info.
All else fails eBay or a private buyer at a forum.

Thank you.
I received a 20 that immediately caught my eye as "off" it has every mark, every safety... but it is off center..top to bottom on the front... instead of being centered it is two thirds up top with one third on bottom.. and the seal over the "twenty" is at the top of the word, you cant see the top of the letters as on other bills.. and you can see quite a bit of the bottom of "twenty " as a result.. could this be a find? worth anything besides 20? lol

I don't quite understand is it just misaligned or the front design partially transferred to the front?
i have a confederate fifty dollar bill dated feb. 17. 1864. it has a stamp on the back that reads REBEL PATROL

this leads me to believe that it was given to a confederate officer for payment.
the front is a reddish orange color and the back is green. the serial number is 72104 and are not aligned with each other, is this a misprint? how much do you think it is worth?

I have a 2004 20 dollar bill in "ok" condition, you can tell where it has been folded in half in a walet or pockett... I work for a gas station and someone came in the other day and paid for 5.00 in gas with this 20.00 bill..... I noticed it right away, the green seal is printed ont the top of the bill and on the bottom as well.... the bottom portion of the green seal is printed on the top edge of the bill and the top portion of the seal is printed at the bottom of the bill. . Is there anyway you could shed some light on the value of this type error and how rare it is? Thanks so much.

Can you tell me if a 20 dollar bill 1974, series E50857272D is worth more than 20 dollars? Also, the number 5 is listed on the front.
Mistake. the series nunmber is E50857273D.
20 dollar bill 1974, series E50857273D just $20.00
I came across a Series 1969C $20 bill, Circulated but has no creases and is very crisp. It looks brand new. What would be the value and is ebay the best places to sell it?

Assuming not a star note it would be about $25.00 and eBay is the only place to sell this common note.
I have a 1934A $10 bill that tells you it was printed with plate B112/914. It was printed by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In the upper left hand corner, it indicates it was printed from ROW B but there is no number following the letter to indicate which position on that row. Is this a rare bill????
I'm wondering if 1988 series A $20 bills that appear to have ink splattered on them during printing have any value

It is a real ten someone modified, careful it may be illegal to use if you try and pass it off as a 100.
I have a 2004 $20 bill that the lady at the bank told me collectors like. It is cut close to the top and the bottom is wide. There is a star next to the serial number. Hopefully she is right?

I have a 20 dollar bill, serial#: B 63155177E Now the bottom right hand corner apparently was folded up when getting printed because part of the serial number is printed on the back. The B6315 is on the back, so the only way to see the complete number is to fold that corner up. Is this worth anything more that 20 dollars? You can view the bill at: http://www.impelhosting.com/money

I have a guy trying to sell me Two rare united states twenty dollar bills, 2006 series as seen on the picture, they have serial numbers that start with triple six and google does not even have these. The photography of these rare bills alone could worth a nice sum to the right person, I have only seen a one dollar bill on ebay with simular serial numbers and the seller got a little over six grand, so with that said if your looking to trade come with something of value or simply make a nice cash offer and we can possibly negotiate. Should I buy them of blow him off?
Sorry here is a pic

Dear Man,
I'm trying to upload pix of error dollars and coins; can someone help me with the process?
Also, I have several cents that appear double-stamped at the top of "in god we trust" -- is this only metal flow or actual doubling?
I have a ten cent and fifty cent note from around 1870, cant really make out the last number in the date. And I also have a 1869 shield nickel. They are all in fair shape for their age. Was wondering if you could give me an estimate on how much they are worth...thanks so much.....

Hey Man! I have 5 20s of which 4 are pre-1980s and I'm just curious to whether any could be worth more than face value. They are:
1981 G24110932B

1950B L79987171B
1950C B34637167C
1950D B76879406C
I also wonder how common it is for the treasury seal to appear to have lost part of the print from having the word "TWENTY" stamped across it? Or is the seal printed over the word? Thanks!

I acquired a dollar bill that has a couple of small breaks in one zero of each serial number. There is also a small extra black dot on one of the ones in the medium sized eleven on the right (one of four). Is this an unusual find or sort of normal?

Normal minor ink problems are common, no extra value.
Have you by chance seen or heard of 1974 100 bill that is off cut or miss aligned? If so roughly what are they valued at?
Thanks
