Hello
I was wanting to find out if you would be able to help me
I have 8 consecutive 20 dollar bills without the little 20 printed on the back of any of them
I have enclosed a picture of the front of one and the back of another
would you be able to tell me what they are worth
any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank You
Belinda
Error 20'S
Wow she linked pictures and everything.
And if you thought that would simplify it you were wrong.
This was beyond my knowledge, beyond my Web search, even beyond my books. So I looked into my network of collectors who also never saw this error.
The small yellow "20"s on the back is an anti-copying security feature,
--Check for the nylon thread on the front to the left of the left side-dark seal.
--Check for the watermark of Jackson's head on the front to the right of the right-sided green seal.
--Hold the bill in front of a light to see the hidden features.
If they are not there then you have counterfeit bills. Which also has value.
If they are there then the bills are real and according to my source each bill is worth $200.00 for a total of $1,600.00. (This is only an educated guess since yours are the first reported.)
Thanks for the visit Belinda and sorry for the long delay but it is a new bill and a strange error.
If I have more updates or find them on eBay I'll post a link but I'd try to sell half of them to a local dealer before more are found.
Here is a cool error that sold on eBay for $10,100 in May 2003 and now sold at $25,300.
It's called the "banana note" and has a Del Monte sticker that fell on it midway during printing and was not caught and destroyed.
Do you have note or currency and want to know its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.
1757 dollars worth, for Comments/Questions click here.:
«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 1757 Newer› Newest»dollar bill that looks like it was stamped twice. The green seal has a black one stamped off center on it, there are backwards 4's and(you can't see this in the picture) but VERY lightly under the "this note is legal tender etc." and the signature are the serial numbers printed backwards.
Unfortunately your picture did not show up, I saw some cigarette case but no dollar.
This sounds like some sort of Offset Printing but I never heard of this exact type. Many fakes are made like this but without seeing it I can't say.
What concerns me is the backwards signature this part should not be backwards.
Sorry, Wrong URL (misprinted dollar from the 15th)

(misprinted dollar from the 15th)
Okay I see it.
This would be an ink transfer error but judging by the appearance, the signatures, and the location of the seal and number 4s it is a fake.
More accurately it is an accident. Looks like it was folded in half and then some solvent leaked on the bill.
But if this was a genuine ink transfer it would be about $10.00. Not worth it to have it verified.

If the one with a blank back is in very fine then the set is about $400.00.
Thanks for responding my inquiry regarding my 8 consecutive uncirculated 1977 $20 bills from the posting on 9:08 PM, July 16, 2008.Would it be better to sell the bills as a set or separately? I read another post that indicated a very fine $20 with no printing on the back was valued at $650. Are the 2 $20 bills with ink from the previous bills of any value other than $20? Thanks for your time and efforts.
Would it be better to sell the bills as a set or separately?
It might be better to sell them in smaller groups. The error note the one before and the one after.
I read another post that indicated a very fine $20 with no printing on the back was valued at $650.
Yes but recent auctions of this type of errors have done poorly.
For insurance purpose it should be about $650.00 to $875.00 but sales have been tough.
Are the 2 $20 bills with ink from the previous bills of any value other than $20?
These are real errors Ink transfer but minor ones it would be about $50.00 to $250.00 each. I assumed the lowest value because I haven't seen them.
The fact they are consecutive does not bring extra value insurance-wise but at a good auction it may help.
A collector would buy these raw and have all of them graded, this would cost the collector about $120.00 for the grading and shipping cost. So they are not willing to pay more then $600 for the lot. It is too risky if they are under-graded.
To add one more thing to the mix
1977 has famous blank back errors in the book I use it shows $5 $10 $50 examples. Since they were famous for a while many fakes exist.
Best advice would be wait to see if the currency market gets stronger. If not be prepared to get less then 50% of the book value.
Hello, I have a $20 that is aligned correctly on the back, but on the front the printing is severely skewed to the point it has virtually no border on the lowere left and a very thick border on the upper right. It appears to be real (not counterfeit)but of course I am not an expert on this. Is this worth something (more than $20!).
Thanks for your help. Paul
I have a couple of older $2 bills (printed in 1950's or 1960's I think) where the seal and some letters are printed in red ink instead of green. Any extra value associated with these? Thanks for your help. Paul
$20 that is aligned correctly on the back, but on the front the printing is severely skewed to the point it has virtually no border on the lowere left and a very thick border on the upper right.
It's real but this is a minor Faulty Alignment error. Only if you can see a piece of another bill is it worth anything extra.
$2 bills (printed in 1950's or 1960's I think) where the seal and some letters are printed in red ink
The bills from the 1950s average about $8.50 in very-fine.
The bills from the 1960s average about $7.00 in very-fine.
Alright, this is a long one, but please bear with me. My first money question is about a 1963 United States Note Red Ink 5 Dollar Bill. it isn't in the best conditionbut I was wondering if it was worth anything anyway, just a little curious. here is a url to some pics--> http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o379/jesse8888/SDC10247.jpg I am sorry about the quality, but I think it shows enough. Now, in that same picture, there is a 1969 5 Dollar Federal Reserve Note. At first, i was just using it to compare the two, but then I noticed the Serial Number. It is A 00489661 * I have never seen a bill with a star to the right of the serial number and I was wondering if that was worth anything.
That's not all, my father collected coins for many years, he has a 1919 Wheat Penny, not only that, but I recently came across another 1919 Wheat Penny, i was wondering what those would be worth.
He also has 3 mint condition Silver Dollars, all in plastic protectors, I do not think anyone has ever touched them. they are from the years, 1990, 1991, 1992.
He also collected bills (the red ink 5 is his). He has 12 uncirculated 2 Dollar Bills, all from 1995. they have never been folded and are in excellent condition. here is a pic--> http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o379/jesse8888/SDC10251.jpg Once again, i'm sorry about the quality.
He also has 300 uncirculated 1990 pennies, i don't think they are worth anything now, but will they be at some piont?
This is the last coin I have a question about. He has a 1909 VDB Wheat Penny. I was told it was worth a lot, and I looked to eBay, most were put on for $20ish, except for one. That one was going for $850, and the bidding was still going. My father's penny is in good condition for it being nearly 100 years old. I would like to know which price is better.
I am really sorry about the length of this comment and the amount of information I am asking for. If I had to choose one thing to get a response about, it would be the VDB penny. Thank you. BTW i'm only 16!!
I just posted the comment about the VDB Penny, and I didn't mean which price is better, obviously $850 is better than $20 or less. What I meant to ask is, which is more accurate.
1963 United States Note Red Ink 5 Dollar Bill. it isn't in the best condition
It's about $10.00
1969 5 Dollar Federal Reserve Note. At first, i was just using it to compare the two, but then I noticed the Serial Number. It is A 00489661 *
It's about $10.00
1919 Wheat Penny
It's about $0.20
mint condition Silver Dollars, all in plastic protectors,
1990 about $20.00
1991 about $20.00
1992 about $20.00
uncirculated 2 Dollar Bills, all from 1995
About $3.00
300 uncirculated 1990 pennies
If they were graded and earn a Mint-State-65 label they would go for about $0.25.
1990 was a common year and ungraded it would take 40 to 50 years before they are worth a few bucks each.
1909 VDB Wheat Penny
The one on eBay is a 1909-S VDB. The "S" is a mintmark from San Fransisco it is located under the date. This one is rare it's worth about $750.00 in good.
If there is no S under the date it is the lesser coin worth about $12.00 in good.
Good(G-4) is a lower grade the one on ebay looks like a very-good(VG-8).
I have a one dollar bill, E 04979690*, Series 2003 A. I cant find any other thing diffrent other than it has the star after the serial number. Is this of any value?
one dollar bill E 04979690*, Series 2003 A
About $3.00 in crisp-uncirculated.
These are star notes made to replace damaged regular notes they are normal in every way to other notes just printed in smaller runs.
I have a framed sheet of 16 One Dollar Bills that I got from the mint in Washington D.C. When I was younger. Uncut, uncirculated, untouched by hands...the date on the bills are 1988. When my husband and I moved recently, I found the frame and we hung it up but my husband mentioned it may be worth something more now so I thought I'd do some research and find out.
16 One Dollar Bills that I got from the mint in Washington D.C. When I was younger. Uncut, uncirculated, untouched by hands...the date on the bills are 1988
It's common and only about $32.00.
Found an odd 20 dollar bill with extra bushes on the back. I want to know how much it was worth, because i already spent it.
odd 20 dollar bill with extra bushes on the back.
Never heard of this but it was either someone with a pencil or a minor transfer error.
Either way no big loss, no extra value.
I have a $20 bill series 2004 A GJ57987185B that has the serial numbers and Treasury stamp in Blue ink. Is it worth any more than face value?
$20 bill series 2004 A GJ57987185B that has the serial numbers and Treasury stamp in Blue ink
No extra value the blue ink is some sort of fading that is not considered a real error.
It does not appear to be faded, the coloring is Navy Blue and is consistent from both the left and right hand serial numbers, as well as the treasury seal.
It does not appear to be faded, the coloring is Navy Blue and is consistent from both the left and right hand serial numbers, as well as the treasury seal.
I've heard of this before but it's not a recognized error and no one puts a value on it. It is to easily faked.
Submitting to a grading company only brings back a damaged label.
I have these notes. Wondering if they are manufacured errors or not. Backs look normal:

They are all Insufficient Ink errors.
The two star notes need to be confirmed but if real it's about
$300.00 for the $1 and
$600.00 for the $2.
These are rare to see completely weak.
The 2006 $1 are also great they're about $150.00 each.
Watching an episode of Gunsmoke, I noticed the money taken in a Freight Office robbery was a stack of "20's" but had George Wasfingtons face. I guess this wasn't "real" money as I don't think George has ever been on a 20 dollar bill ?
Hi like your site! I found a very crisp $20 1996 bill, the left eye alone looks albino, not much ink i think? the rest of the note is very crisp black. ser # AK 25766109C Thanks....
I guess this wasn't "real" money as I don't think George has ever been on a 20 dollar bill ?
It is fake but the money is still regulated by the government. Back in the day it was completely illegal to show real money on films so the secret service prints fake money for movies.
Now the rules are different but I don't know them exactly.
That said yes Washington appeared many times on the $20 bill.
The most famous is the 1905 technicolor $20. It sells for about $1,000 to $100,000.

This is an Insufficient Ink error but a very minor it does not have any extra value. Sorry.
It must have either the numbers missing or 25% or more of the design.

This Missing Printing error is about $200.00 in extra-fine.
Hi,

(100) 1977 $1 bills in sequential order. What are they worth? Serial number on the first bill is A40803101B.
Assuming crisp-uncirculated it would about $2.00 each. Higher grades may push it up to $4.00 but anything less then it's just $1.00.
I have a $1.00 bill with an extra piece on one corner. The corner was apparently folded when it was cut and when you unfold it there is a triangular piece attached to the upper left corner. Is it worth anything. Joanne
$1.00 bill with an extra piece attached. The upper left hand corner was apparently folded over when it was cut and there is a triangular piece attached to it.
It's a minor cutting error in crisp-uncirculated it's about $10.00.
I have a 1985 $20 bill that has a normal back, but the front is missing:
-the green serial #'s
-the green treasury stamp that's behind the word 'Twenty' to the right of the picture of Jackson
-the single digit that would be in each of the four corners in the clear area of the bill (the sample pic I found online was a '2')
-the black Federal Reserve stamp to the left of Jackson's picture
The only other difference I can see between my bill and the picture of one online is that there's a tiny letter with 3 digits following it to the far right of Jackson's pic - mine has A290 on it. As far as I can tell, my bill has a grade of XF or VF. I plan on selling this, so do you have any idea what I might expect to get out of it?
Thanks for your help and the great website.

In crisp-uncirculated they are about $2.00 each other wise it is a corporate gift unless it is from a big company like Disney then it has no extra value.
I have a twenty dollar bill that has the watermark of Jacksons face in it, But his face is distorted. it looks like his face was smashed or something. Do you know anything about misprints or misstaskes that were on the 2004 A series?

Watermark varieties are not considered true errors. So it has no extra value.
Unless the the mark is missing or there is anything odd about the printed design there has been no significant errors for 2004-A.

Thank for the info!
I have a perfect never circulated series 1981 $20 bill that is folded on the bottom left. The front left only has a small part of the 0 visible. Otherwise the entire front corner of the bill is missing. The back side of the 20 is missing a small piece of the 0 that is in the front. If you unfold it is white in the back and it looks like there is an extension to the bill where the front 20 is sideways. Have you ever heard of this? I can take a picture if you need to see.

Hi! I have an interesting dollar bill. I have been holding onto it for a few years and kinda forgot that I even had it. The front looks perfectly fine, but when you flip it over horizontally the centering is way off. It's even printed upside down! When I originally found the bill, I ran it through a counterfeit bill machine at work thinking it was fake, but it passed every time. Any ideas of its possible worth? Thanks!

Sounds like an Inverted Overprint of the black portion. I've never seen this type that turned out to be real. It start at about $200.00 but if real and graded it may be worth five times that.

There are dozens of varieties without a serial I can only give an average value of about $10.00 each.
These bills vary from $6.00 to $2,700.00 in low grades. More in higher grades of course.

This is a Minor cutting Error, value comes in if the extra piece has a design of another bill or other printing marks on it.
If blank then the error is about $10.00 extra so maybe $30.00 in total.
I have a (1)1950 $50 Serial #: D00190380*, In worn condition. (2)2004 $50 serial #: EE00293019*, in mint, crispy condition. (3) 1996 $100 Serial #: AB16980552*. Can you please state the value of all three notes. Greatly appreciated.

1977 $20 bill with Jackson's face overprinted on the reverse.
Great picture.
This is an Offset Printing error in that condition it's about $50.00.
i have a 2004 $50 where the front is printed right to the top of the bill, and the back is printed in the center, is this bill worth anything beyond the 50?
the bill has been circulated, and is worn, it also has some pen writing on the back.
any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated...thanks
2004 $50 where the front is printed right to the top of the bill,
Unless you can see a bit of the second bill's design it does not have any extra value.
I work in two convenience stores as an area manager and spotted a 2003, one dollar bill that was very odd. The black dot or circle with the letter in it that is supposed to be on the left hand side of the bill, is on the right, slightly right and slightly lower of the green dot on the right side. This bill is not counterfeit. The thing just looks wicked cool to me and eventhough I can tell it has been in circulation, it seems to still be in good shape. this thing is messed up and I just love it. I doubt I'd let it go for less than $500 in cash, but anyone have any comments about the value. I like odd and rare things like this. this was my happiest find!

This is a Misaligned Overprint error it's about $50.00.
I have a 20 dollar bill that is equally misaligned on the front and back vertically(maybe cut error?). I can see the top 1/2 inch of the next bill. Is this worth more then 20 bucks?
2006, one U.S.A. $ 20.00 dollars bill with a lot of errors. Excellent condition. Do you know if has any value, please? I added the links if you want to take a look at the pictures.
On the right side of the bill:
- The green seal is too near the Y
- The "TWENTY" is more to the right then usual
- The numbers start under T so they are too much to the right
On the left side of the bill:
- Numbers start in the middle of the wing so more to the right then usual
- The black seal is more to the right
- signature at the bottom starts at the end of the tip of the arrow instead of middle
- At the ear the leaf is not touching the hair, there is empty space

Without knowing year or serial number I'll assume this is a real error.
About $200.00
2006, one U.S.A. $ 20.00 dollars bill with a lot of errors.
There is only one error and it's a Misaligned Overprint but it is very minor.
The shift is to the right but it must be shifted over another portion of the design or about 50% of center to have value.
Nice pictures but no no extra value.
dime 1970 with no S, D,or P. Any value?

Weak strikes does not bring any extra value.
$20 bill with a cut error.
This is a great Cutting Error it's about $250.00 ungraded it may be worth grading it might add another $100 or $200 depending on grade.
Great pictures.
1989 Lincoln cent and 1984 Lincoln cent; both with missing parts of letters on the back in the United States of America.
Nice pictures but this is just a weak strike and has no extra value.
If they were actual errors it still would have no value because all the coins are severely damaged.
I found a 1981 $20 bill - is it worth more than $20?
1981 $20 bill
No unless a star note or a error it currently has no extra value in less than perfect.
i have a 1974 one dollar bill with a fold in on the right side. It folds over the A in America, across the 2nd to last # in the serial # and straight down to the bottom. The bill is wider than a normal bill and when you fold it everything is in its proper place. I would send you a photo, but I don't see a way to do it. Is this worth anything? Thank you, **********@aol.com

Sounds like a minor gutter fold error it's about $25.00.

Hi - I have a series of 1929 bills, for instance, one is a 1929 $20.00 bill with a red seal, marked #736, First National Bank of Provincetown (National Currency). I would love to find out the approximate value...thanx.
Hi - My prior posting about the 1929 $20 with a "red seal" actually looks more like a rusty brown seal upon closer inspection, so I wanted to amend that! Thanx.
a 1929 $20.00 bill with a red seal, marked #736, First National Bank of Provincetown (National Currency)...actually looks more like a rusty brown
Yes it's brown Type 1 it's about $50.00 in very-fine but they were issued from 14,000 banks and I can't find any info about Provincetown. I don't believe it to be rare but it is not seen often in auctions.
Thank you so much for the info. My late grandfather had saved a myriad of old bills (all denominations), particularly 1929 series from various national banks so we were wondering if they had any great value. Are there any 1929 bills specifically that may be particularly valuable that we can try to weed out of the bunch? Your expertise is sincerely appreciated!
1929 bills specifically that may be particularly valuable
There are so many and I'm not up to date with National notes but the rules of currency stay the same.
Better quality equals better value.
Lower serial number is preferred(single digits).
Lawton, OK goes for $250 and 24 exist.
Ex:
Casey, IL goes for $1000 and 7 exist.
Yet these were just on public auctions graded by PCGS most sell privately.
I'd suggest joining the PCGS forum it's free and they lots of currency experts.
There are 2 standard software:
Kelly CD 4.0 (Don't know where they sell)
The Gengerke Census (Google this)
Track&price
Each of these are $125 or more.
I wish I could help more but these types are so difficult to follow without the expensive software or stacks of catalogs.
I have a Series 1935 D One Dollar Silver Certificate in very good shape. I also have a 1981 One Dollar bill that was slightly folded during the printing process and a blank stripe runs through the seal on the front and the pyramid on the back. What would the value of these items be?
1935 D One Dollar Silver Certificate in very good shape.
Depends on serial number but they stat at $3.00.
1981 One Dollar bill that was slightly folded during the printing process and a blank stripe runs through the seal on the front and the pyramid on the back.
A single gutter fold is about $25.00 in fine.
I have a 1996 $20.00 dollar bill serial # AG06318561* that has the face reprinted on the back of the bill. And also a 1929 $100.00 bill with the serial # G00125058A. Are they worth anything?
1996 $20.00 dollar bill serial # AG06318561* that has the face reprinted on the back of the bill.
If the Offset Printing is 100% or rich dark green it's about $200.00 in fine. This bill has some potential if graded.
1929 $100.00 bill with the serial # G00125058A
About $150.00 in very-fine.
Hello,
I have come across 2 $5 dollar Bills. One is from 1928. The other is a 1934 silver certificate. These two bills were printed in complete reverse. I was looking around and could not find an error note like this. Below is the link to the bills I purchased.

Fake it's just not possible plus the you also have the reverse pictured and the folds match up when you reverse the image so it's just a trick with the photo.
Hello, I was wondering about the value of a brand new 2008 uncirculated dollar bill that has the serial number A 34703470 D
Thank you so much.

No such thing must be 2006 worth about $2.00 if perfect and graded.
I have a 20 dollar Federal reserve note dated 1934A. Serial #G97307169A. It looks like it was from the Bank of Chicago. Could you tell me if it is worth anything?

This one should have a back number of 204 it's a Late Finished Back and it's about $100.00.
Ihave a 5 dollar bill with different serial numbers. Top right H67344595A and the bootom left H67346122A. Series 1977 A. Can't find any other differences with bill. What is the value of the bill.

Yours is a famous batch of Mismatched Serial Numbers it one of four known varieties and is one of the best.
It's about $500.00, I recommend having it graded.
I am curious if you could help me. I am trying to find out if there is any added value to a "dog eared". I posted a pic on my new blog. Any info you have would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
any added value to a "dog eared". I posted a pic on my new blog.
That is a very minor cutting error. It is nice that it has the edge and cutting markers for the sheet but it is very small.
I would say about $45.00 it is a fairly new bill and only time will tell if more exist or is it common.
Hi, I have a 10 dollar bill that the back of it has insufficient ink error. Here is a pic of it:
http://i41.tinypic.com/15doxuh.jpg
Can you tell me if it's worth anything? And is it worth it to get it graded? Thanks in advance!
10 dollar bill that the back of it has insufficient ink error.
Nice picture.
It is 1/3 improperly inked but the quality is about fine maybe a bit higher. It's about $20.00 and currently not worth grading. Were it to grade "extra-fine" it would be $50.00 but grading cost $20 or more.
It's a nice error but your very borderline on grading I usually recommend grading if the value approaches $200 or higher. Yours would not.
hi there. i have (12) 1988A 1.oo bills that are missing that little left sided stamp that are usually c1, c2, d2, and so on. the right side where that stamp would be only has a single number. they are mint and look uncirculated. i think i saved these because i heard about a misprint recall on them at the time of release? here is a couple of the seriel numbers: a41739199e, e60641954k, f72428159ll. also, on the back of them they each have a single number following the 'in God we trust', but no number below the word 'one'. are these worth anything? i could send a photo if you would like. thank you!
1988A 1.oo bills that are missing that little left sided stamp that are usually c1, c2, d2,...
This is not a misprint and the U.S. never recalls notes.
This is a Web-Fed print meaning that a new technology was used to make notes it did not last and the old fashioned method of making notes returned.
a41739199e about $20.00
e60641954k about $20.00
f72428159ll about $100.00
These notes are very collectible since the notes had a short run.
I work at a bank and today a customer deposited 20 100 dollar bills that are star notes, he brought them straight from another bank to ours. They haven't been circulated other than that. Never folded or anything. I immediately strapped them. How much do you think these would be work, they are from 2006. Also, where would be a good place to sell these?
Also, they are in sequential order, forgot to mention that part from the post at 10:40 P.M. january 20!

They would average about $130.00 each and eBay is the best place as they are very easily found in high grade. Since they are common it would be easier to hold on to the best for a few years unless your a great eBayer.
I have a twenty dollar bill that is red, minted 2004 serial #ed77114717c.
I cannot find any info on the net.
can you tell me if it is a possible misprint?
The 20 and eagle emblem are gold as on the green twenty.
Thanks,
Nick
twenty dollar bill that is red, minted 2004 serial #ed77114717c.
This has to be damage because an error like this is not possible.
I first thought the red dye from a bank robbery, but the eagle and the 20 on the right is gold.
If it was dye from a bank robbery they would be red too, wouldn't they?

If it was dye from a bank robbery they would be red too, wouldn't they?
Your first thought is correct but not always in robberies. When handling dye packs sometimes they explode in the tellers hands or in the bag of money during transport.
The reason the gold letters(holographic security feature) were not affected is they are metal and repel liquids so it would never stain.
Sidenote: Red dye packs are most commonly used and glow very bright red. On TV blue and green are used for comical effect but these are really used in clothing stores tags.
How rare is it to find a new series (2004A) twenty that has all security features but is missing the green Treasury Seal? Is it worth more than $20?
(2004A) twenty that has all security features but is missing the green Treasury Seal
It is surprisingly common among error pieces, Missing Overprint of the Treasury Seal. It's about $75.00.
i have a $20 bill 2004a, it looks like it has a clear/yellow ink or maybe wood glue smeared on the front and back. could it be a printing error or somebody just got glue on it. what is it worth
$20 bill 2004a, it looks like it has a clear/yellow ink or maybe wood glue smeared on the front and back. could it be a printing error or somebody just got glue on it.
It could be solvent such errors are possible and may even erase some of the green ink. But the way you describe it it is either very minor or glue so no extra value either way.
To have value some of the design must be destroyed.
I have a little folder that says money all over it and The Peoples National Bank Tyler, Texas Member FDIC. It contains 5 consecutive one dollar bills series 1981 K 32349686B - K 32349690B
It is sealed on the edge like a little booklet. Any idea if this is worth anything or if I should just tear out the bills and be happy I have $5.
The Peoples National Bank Tyler, Texas Member FDIC. It contains 5 consecutive one dollar bills series 1981 K 32349686B - K 32349690B
It's about $30.00 that bank made a lot products like this in the 1930s but I don't know why they did it for a 1981 $1.00.
Still in they should be perfect and over the years the value would increase.

$1 bill, Series 1988A, Serial number G00000001V.
About $115.00 these are highly collected and if graded high it goes up in value. I'm assuming a grade of extra-fine for the value quoted.

This is a Type II Inverted Overprint most common on bills made after 1981. It's about $400.00 in extra-fine.

This has been seen a lot but it's not an official error so no extra value.
The cause is in debate because if left in the washer machine a similar effect can be produced.

Hello. My father got a dollar bill back in change a few weeks ago. The front of the dollar bill seems to be fine but the back is another story. It looks like it has either "bled" through or it was stamped twice. I will attach some photos of it for your viewing. Any information you may have will be greatly appreciated. Thank You
Jessica
dollar bill...the back is another story. It looks like it has either "bled" through or it was stamped twice.
Bleed through or Stamped twice are two different errors.
If some sort of ink transfer or bleed through it's about $50.00.
If double stamped it's about $750.00.
Hi,
I have a 20 dollar bill that has a cut error, it has been in circulation though, and has a worn fold right down the center. Its a 1996 series and on the front the serial number touches the small 20 on the lower right corner. Anyway- should I save this if its not in crisp condition? The top of the bill barely made it in the cut- there is no space at the top. Would you save it anyway?
Thanks- its cool that you answer all these people back :)

Sounds like a Faulty Alignment Error it's about $45.00 in that condition. Definitely worth saving.
Thank you

Hi!! can you also advise on Indian Currency.
I would if I had any but I rarely collect non-U.S. currency and even less from India.
I will try but I currently my resources are limited. Sorry.
i have a 2004 A 20$ note with a serial number of GF 00722149 * in crisp yet circulated condition, is this just a collectors item or is it actually worth something?

About $22.50 it is common and unless perfect it holds little value.
HAI! i have 2 2004 series $20 dollar bills with ink on the edges thats bled and faded. one of the 20's looks like it might have had the corner cut off in printing, and its an odd shape for it to be cut off.
this particular note with the corner cut off the serial # is EC95413459B (this also has a lighter blue more cerulean blue on the right lower bottom corner)
the other bill has red on the left upper hand corner and it seems to be faded. this serial number is EL82699254B

Sounds like damage no extra value.

Ok here it is... I work at a grocery store and was giving a guy a twenty dollar bill back. He wouldn't take it because he said it was fake so I gave him another. The lady behind him said that if it was real and just misprinted that it was worth more money. So I thought I'd look into it. I took it to my boss and checked it with the pen it came out like any other bill would and my manager said it was real. So thinking about what that lady said I traded my twenty I had in my pocket for that one. The bill seems to be somewhat misalligned..the space on the sides are not even and on the top where there is usually space left I guess you call it the border it doesnt exist on the front although on the back it does but you can tell its a bit smaller than an original twenty. So it literally looks as though it was just messed up being printed. I am positive that it is real too because not only did I do the pen test but I held it up to a light, me and two of my managers, and we all three saw the hidden features. I was just hoping that this may be worth something and thought you could tell me??

If you can see a piece of another bill peaking into the bottom white space then it has some value.
If it is only badly cut then it has no extra value.
