As you can tell even worn and dirty older coins have more value while the newer ones are not worth as much initially. Granted 50 years from now maybe that Canadian will be a collectors item it is also a safe bet that the older US coins will still retain a premium value.

Judging by the nickels and German coin he was a moderate collector.
A lot of value depends on grade if that German coin was two grades higher (almost-uncirculated) it would be 10 times mores.
eBay is the easiest way to sell common below $100 coins, Heritage is good for higher value coins, maybe a coin forum would be a good place to join to lean more.

Well the mintmark varieties are the most important, that said assuming you have at least 1 from each year, about $210.00.
The thing is the most valuable being a 1916-D at $1,000.00 and 1921-D at $80.00 in G-4.
Assuming you have every date and mintmark then $4,250.00 in VF-30 or higher.

On average about $16.00 but their are varieties...
Check the edge for lettering starts with vertical dividing line and group of three stars then...
Type I; “3 stars/DOMINUS/PROVIDEBIT/10 stars”
Type II; “3 stars/DOMINUS/10 stars/PROVIDEBIT”
Also where it starts either at 6, 2, or 10 o'clock.
Depending on all these factors it can be worth much more.

1951-B is gold color but the metal is aluminum-bronze about $0.30 in fine.
1950-B with 4 plumes feathers is also aluminum-bronze about $40.00 in fine.
At no point were they made with real gold, the last was in 1914 and the last silver was in 1939.

---I think you may be over grading your coins, I suspect most of your AU coins are really VF which would reduce all the value by 10 times. Still you have some good ones, the Japanese alone are worth it.

It is not a coin. It's a medal to commemorate a Royal British visit to Canada and in bronze it is about $4.00 in extra fine.

a 1943p Quarter,a 1943p Dime,a 1943p Nickel,and the 1943p Steel Cent. All are uncirculated Except the Half it is graded AU. I have a vintage RED United States Proof Coin holder to place them in. I was going to dub it..."1943 the ONLY year of all silver colored coinage in the United States."

Why are some coins with higher mintage's worth more than others of the same years? {as in the 1959D penny(1,279,760,000) and the
1959P(609,715,000)} would seem the P would be worth more since less were made, But I am still kinda new to this hobby.

In the 1959 cent case it is quality. Most 1959-D were not struck as sharp and did not circulate well.
This is true among a lot of coins check out the early 1980s quarters, all are common but they were struck so poorly that it increases in value in higher grades beyond normal.

Description: The coin is silver and has a lady on the front with a wreath on her head. It says Italians repvbblica with really small words under the woman head. It has a man holding an anvil on the back. It has a very tiny r on the lower side underneath the l.50.

1985 500 franc coin, back says Republique du tchad 500 francs and has pants under it, front has a black woman with corn rolls and says banque des etats de lafrique centrale. Eyebrow and nose have some wear making it more silver than other spots, dark silver/grey in color right now with a couple small black spots. The stamping appears offset in certain spots, like it was supposed to make it look 3D, but I don't think it was meant to be 3D. Some spots it looks messed up some it looks like trying to make 3D that's why it caught my eye. One edge on front of coin appears to either be dented like pressed between something. My son found the coin outside, he likes to collect coins and is curious.

Found out yesterday that 40% silver Halves are still floating around out there. I got 2 as change from the bank. a 1965p in almost Mint condition,and a 1968D that is in very nice condition.
