Even I admit that trying to find every coin ever made in my change can be overwhelming. I try and keep track of all them but many slip by. Most of the territorial quarters made in 2009 are some that I did not find. Finally I got one that escaped my grasp.
On the quarter is a relief map of Guam. It has a hand carved boat and a stone base for native homes. The natives known as the Chamorro have their language as the motto. Guahan I Tanó ManChamorro, which means Guam - Land of the Chamorro.

2013 $1 Bill, J-A
Not including star notes this is one of the first 2013 series dollar bills printed. I believe the delay in production is because they switch complete printing to the new 50-subject sheet printers.
The major changes are in production but a new signature and probably minor changes, who knows at this point.
Here's the stats for this bill...

1989 Canada 5 Cents
If I had a nickel for every Canadian nickel I found I would have $4.90. You can say I lost nearly five bucks in American money but as a coin collector it would have cost me ten times as much, not to mention time and effort, to buy these common coins online.
Found half of all the 1980s Canadian nickels and seeing how none of them are rare I expect to find all of them just by searching my pocket change. It may take some time because surprisingly Canadian nickels are tougher to find in change than most other Canadian coins.
Here's the stats...

2011-P Rutherford B. Hayes Dollar
Rutherford B. Hayes was good for coin and currency at least for a while. He restored the gold standard, limited the silver coinage, and let people turn in greenbacks for gold. This was kind of shortsighted.
The public at the time got use to paper money and trusted the government backed currency, even more after people successfully cashed out there greenbacks for gold. So as gold grew stronger poorer people and people who did daily business needed silver and paper more. Eventually the gold standard kind of backfired so as electronic money becomes more popular I doubt making gold a standard again will turn people to metal over convenience.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 1 Dollar-Franklin Pierce / United States
Year: 2011 P (Edge upside down)
Mintage: 37,660,000
Metal: 88.5% Copper, 6% Zinc, 3.5% Manganese, and 2% Nickel

1964 Nickel
It took almost a full year to find a 1964 nickel from Philly. Although over a billion were made and they made until 1966, with a 1964 date, it took a long time to find one. No good reason for the long wait but in change collecting it happens.
So of the four 1964 circulating U.S. coins I found all of them. I do not count the silver coins because that is nearly impossible to find in your change. Starting in January I can start looking for 1965 coins in my change, they will not have mint marks since they stopped them after 1964 so again only four coins are needed for that collection.
Here's the stats for this coin...
Type/Country: 5 Cents / United States
Year: 1964
Metal: 75% copper 25% nickel
Mintage: 1,028,622,762

1955 Canada Cent, Shoulder Fold, Large Denticles
This is the least valuable of all the 1955 Canadian cent varieties. They made some without shoulder folds on the queen which at the time was a bit controversial. Apparently a nude looking shoulder was the twerking of the mid-1950s.
On this coins you can clearly see straps on her shoulder the look like folds. If not then the other way to identify the Shoulder Fold variety is to look closely at the serif on the DEI. The more exaggerated the serif the more likely it is the No Shoulder Fold variety worth more.
As for the Large and Small Denticles that is harder for me to identify since few clear pictures exist for the 1955 cent. If you have a good link that does not show only the 1954 cent then let me know.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 1 Cent- Shoulder Fold, Large Denticles / Canada

1985 Canada 5 Cents
Nice I found this coin on the ground and it was wet...Can I get ebola from it? I mean it could be body fluids, although it was raining the last two days. Money can be dirty but I will not stop picking them up since I am not scared of most diseases.
I use tissue paper to pick up ground finds and keep them wrapped until I get home. I then wash them with soap and water because most are not valuable.

The most common of all French one euro cent coins. It has the bee mark above the last digit in the date.

2013 South Korea 10 Won
First South Korean coin found in my change in over three years. It is one of those countries that is so far that carry coins back and forth is inconvenient.
There are no English words on this coin but the date and denomination are recognizable. I knew this was Korean because the Asian characters have circles and ovals which are typical in Korea's written language.
The 1200 year old stone pagoda Dabotap is on the back. It is a national treasure and has nothing buried in it according to the Japanese who dismantled it back in the 1920s.
Here are the stats...

2011-D Wampanoag Treaty Dollar
Just three days after finding the Pennsylvanian version of this coin now I find the Denver version. This one is more common but for now none of Native American series dollars are rare.
This one looks better than the other dollar coins I have found but the edge with the date is not sharp. It is not worn but since the edge lettering was pressed lightly it is hard to see.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 1 Dollar-Native American / United States
Year: 2011 D (Edge upside down)

2014 Canada Quarter
My newest Canadian coin is the latest issue. They are still making Canadian quarters with the caribou on it. I do know if any other types are circulating but at least I git this shiny new one.
Since no more cents are being issued these twenty five cents coins are easier to find. Canadians are round up and down so using bigger coins is becoming easier. Call for the end of five cents is growing so it may be possible that ten and twenty five cent coin will be the only ones left to find.
Type/Country: 25 Cents / Canada
Year: 2014
Mintage: Not yet known.

1990 Singapore 10 Cents
The Singaporean ten cents is the size of a U.S. dime and that is how I got it in my change. It features the date, coat of arms and Singapore written in four languages, SINGAPURA 新加坡 SINGAPORE சிங்கப்பூர். On the other side is the denomination and star jasmine plant.
The coin is slightly misaligned but that does not add value. Unfortunately it also has verdigris damage and that will lower the value to just metal content. Luckily this is a common coin that did not have much value to begin with so no major loss.

2009 Canada Quarter
There are eleven 2009 Canadian quarters if you include the varieties. All but this one were for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. So while these are less common over 20 million were made so they are not rare.
The iconic Caribou has been on Canadian quarters for years but recently it is not the most common. The Royal Canadian Mint makes so many special commemorative coins that their standard coin is now just an after thought.

The look of theses older nickels are so cool. They were pressed with extra pressure so when they get worn it leaves behind a nice silhouette.

2011-P Wampanoag Treaty Dollar
It has been two years since I last found a dollar from the Native American series. Honestly I have not looked that often since most dollar coins are so brown and worn. Since I stepped up my coin hunting I finally found a new dollar coin for my collection.
The Wampanoag Treaty of 1621 is depicted with Supreme Sachem Ousamequin Massasoit handing a peace pipe to Governor John Carver. The peace treaty was written a month after the pilgrims landed. Many native Americans including those from Wampanoag tribe were forced into slavery by the new arrivals from Europe. To make sure revenge was not coming to the Europeans the peace treaty was signed.

1990-D Half Dollar
Woo another half dollar. From 1971-2001 the half dollar coins were common and circulated. Since 2002 they have not circulated but they are still considered common. Still finding one in your change is unusual.
Carrying a few halves in my pocket was not comfortable. I know many people carry giant cell phones but they are mostly stable in your pocket. The giant dollar and half dollar coins tend to bang around plus they may scratch that fancy phone. So for the near future I do not see halves as a solution to our coin problem.

2011 Canada 5 Cents
I am pretty sure I have met Canadians but I would not know for sure. The only evidence these mysterious strangers leave behind is a trail of Canadian coins in our change.

2000 Ecuador 1 Centavo
Like I said a few days ago the Ecuadorians use U.S. money but still issue a few coins for circulation. Most were minted once in 2000 but this cent was minted several different years. This is the first year of issue and I assume the most common.
I do like the back map on the back it has the Americas all the way from Canada to Chile. It says Republic Del Ecuador, Luz De America or Republic of Ecuador, Light of America. Not a truthful statement but sounds nice.
Here are the stats for these...

1945 Canada Cent
Another older Canadian cent found in my change. King George the VI is on this cent but it still has the same metal content as cents from the 1970s.
Surprisingly this coin is in great shape, I may have underestimated the grade as good. Even in higher grader it still would have a low value, less then a dollar for most grades.

2000 Ecuador 10 Centavos
Not the first time I found this coin and there seems to be only one type with one year. Ecuador made U.S. currency legal so they have two currencies in circulation. This makes coin production a low priority.
As far as I can tell they only made one diez (10) centavos coin and it was dated 2000. They put Eugenio Espejo or Eugene Mirror if you like translating names. He was a scientist and writer and helped usher Ecuador into a more modern world.

Do you have a Ecuadorian coin and want to know its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.
As far as I can tell they only made one diez (10) centavos coin and it was dated 2000. They put Eugenio Espejo or Eugene Mirror if you like translating names. He was a scientist and writer and helped usher Ecuador into a more modern world.
Here are the stats for these...

"Just to clear things, they don't use 2 currencies. The only currency is the US dollar. It's just at first they made their own version of the coins because transporting american dollar coins is expensive and takes time."

1934 Wheat Cent
In the early 1930s they drastically cut back on coin making, by 1934 the economy was recovering so they increased it by hundreds of millions. This 1934 coin is common but still it is 80 years old.
When the economy is weak coin production is cut back. Simply put if poor or middle class people are not buying stuff then this happens. Once more people have money and use it then they start making more coins.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 1 Cent / United States
Year: 1934
Mintage: 219,080,000
Metal: 95% Copper, 5% Tin and Zinc
Value: $0.15 in G-4

1965 Canada Cent Small Beads, Blunt 5
This is one of those coin varieties that is best compared side-by-side. Unfortunately I only have this one type so for now this will be the control coin. It has small beads around the rim and a blunt 5, I think.
The small beads are on the front and are kind of obvious if you seen the large beads. Yeah not real helpful without pictures. The Blunt 5 is the same, the top of the 5 is slightly pointier in the Pointed 5.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 1 Cent -Small Beads, Blunt 5 / Canada
Year: 1965
Mintage: 304,441,082
Metal: 98% Copper, 0.5% Tin, 1.5% Zinc

1937 Buffalo Nickel
This is a prime example of environmental damage. It must have been dug up by a metal detector user.
The red and green damage gives it a nice look. Granted it has no value above metal value. I understand why the person who found this put it back in circulation. It is common and in this condition not worth saving.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 5 Cents / United States
Year: 1937
Mintage: 79,480,000
Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
Value: $0.10 in PO-1 (Poor)
