This is the third Where's George? dollar I found. It is also one of the dirtiest bills I ever got. I have said before how much I dislike the over-stamping of money. Especially the Where's George? community who become obsessive and ruin hundred of thousand of notes. Often these notes are handled so much that they break down faster and get grimy.

This bill was first defaced on September 10, 2011 in Cranford, NJ. I was the first person to report this bill at the site. The person who defaced this note is a bit obsessed with stamping notes as many others on the site. Here's the stats:
Bills Entered: | 11,569 | Hit Rate: | 10.07% |
Bills with Hits: | 1,165 | Total Hits: | 1,315 |
Days of Inactivity: | 3 | George Score: | 1,024.11 |
Wilds Found: | 42 | Overall Rank: | 1,919 |
State Rank (New Jersey) | 59 | State Percentile : | 98.60 |
The person is an older guy and I will not show the serial number. Although I do not like this game I will not ruin it for others.
Here's the original stats...
Type/Country: 1 Dollar / United States
Year: 2006
Date Printed: September 2009
Printings: 96,000,000
Run: 3rd from B12800000M -B19199999M
Value: $1.00 in this shape
P.S. If I ever find a rare note that was stamped I will release all the covered serial numbers this way the game is ruined.
P.P.S. My experiment with using cash to pay a bill instead of e-pay resulted only in the ugly note above.

I absolutely hate the Where's George bills. I know some people who think that the government are the ones who print the Where's George stamps.
I absolutely hate the Where's George bills.
Agreed, it just seems disrespectful.
It is very unfortunate that there are people who like to overly stamp our dollar bills. It is just disrespectful since these bills are bank notes and therefore should be handled with utmost care. Though the where's George bill is not that popular, still proper handling must be practiced.
I have a 1935F Silver Certificate with the Serial # X 96933398 I. What does the X & I signify and does this bill have any value beyond the face value? It is in very nice condition and still feels crisp, but has been in circulation.

About $4.00, the X-I is just normal parts of the serial number.
In these older notes they started with A-A and just kept going until Z-Z.
Of course that is different now but it holds no extra value.
I don't report the Where's George notes I find and I have yet to visit that site. Thanks to people like me who don't report the notes, they have lots of gaps in knowing where each note has been.
Since notes from the past 50 years are quite common and inexpensive I guess they are not doing too much detriment to collectors. I doubt though that they would have any sense when it comes to older notes, and star notes.

--I thought of that but since it is an obsession they do not stop. I tend to leave a comment on that site like "defaced" or "damaged".
I figure the only way to ruin there game is publish the numbers and have everyone enter numbers.
I doubt though that they would have any sense when it comes to older notes, and star notes.
--They know somewhat but they don't care, they think it is funny and clever to stamp all notes.

I have a 1981 dollar bill that I am told is not a fake, but is smaller than normal. Measures 5 3/8 inches by 2 3/8 inches. My dad received this as change from a store sometime in the 80's. Have you ever seen this and is it worth anything. Serial number is G32961580C .

That's good usually just date, denomination, and serial number.
These are about $15.00 each they were made in less amounts and have a little more value in high grade than most star notes.
Actually you are wrong.WHERES GEORGE has many collectors and we save low prints star notes. We are normal collectors we(many) save old style and rare/ interesting serial numbers.I AM A GEORGER AND I COLLECT MONEY.
We are normal collectors we(many) save old style and rare/ interesting serial numbers.
I see in your forum that some Georgers do pay attention to rarity.
That said this is not normal collecting. True collectors would never willing damage or mark something even if it had no current extra market value.
I live in a big city and I know tagging and graffiti when I see it this is no different.
I have 1 dollar bill that had a major alignment error. it was cut with the bottom of one bill and the top of another with two different serial nombers is it counterfeit or is it worth something? The serial numbers are A99968685E and A99973685E it is a crisp and in good condition.

This was from an uncut sheet that you can buy from the government. Someone cut it at home to look like an error.
So it is real just a fake error.

I have a 1995 1 dollar bill that has a security strip from a 20 dollar bill stuck to the outside of the face of the bill in the same place that it should be on a 20 dollar bill. Is this an error? I can't figure out how someone would get this silver strip out of another bill. Any thoughts?

It is quite easy to remove the security strip and glue it on something else.
Some people did this years ago hoping that a machine would take the $1 bill and read it as a $20. Of course this does scam does not work.
The same scammer would then use the $20 in person hoping the cashier does not notice the missing strip.
