Of the two varieties of 1949 Canadian cents this is the more common type. Denticles are the teeth like things around the rim. If the last A in the word GRATIA points directly to one other denticle it is a rarer type. If the A points slightly off and in between the denticles then it is the more common type.
The master hub used to make the dies that press the coin was modified and the only difference was how the word GRATIA and the denticles line up. Normally it does not add value except they changed the dies in mid-year
so some dates have both types.
Were this a 1949 A pointing to dentcle it would be worth $10.00 in low grade and much more in mint.

I have a 1949 1 cent Canadian Penny w/o IND IMP. I believe it's in pretty good condition. I also believe the A is pointing at the denticle. Not sure if there are any other errors. How can I send a picture for you to look at it and let me know what the value is?

I think your coin is pretty rare, and so it should fetch a surprising price.. I'm not a collector but came to own a few coins myself somehow, and from what I've learned after some research, believe me when I tell you it's worth hanging on to rather than sell it cheap! Good luck and the key selling feature is in the "A" lining with the denticle!
