2000 Namibia 5 Cents

Have a Namibia coin and want to know its value? Leave a comment

Although I have talked about this coin before it is so high quality that it needs its own post. Stainless steel and being new when I got it makes this one of the best African coins I own.

It is so shiny and new that I had a difficult time photographing it. I know I should use a light box or a double light set up but with only a few minutes to take the pictures I hope you can see the quality.

UNITY LIBERTY JUSTICE 2000 REPUBLIC OF NAMIBIA
XXI CENTURY 5c HORSE MACKEREL EAT MORE FISH FAO · FOOD SECURITY
The front has some die polishing marks and I wanted to highlight them so the picture is slightly off.

This is another FAO issue coin and they are promoting food security asking people to eat more fish.

Here's the stats for this coin...
Type/Country: 5 Cents / Namibia
Year: 2000
Mintage: Unknown.
Metal: Stainless Steel
Value: $0.50 in XF, $1.00 in UNC

One last picture, in  hand the coin looks like this.

I am not sure which one you prefer.

Do you have any Namibian coins and want to know its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.

9 dollars worth, for Comments/Questions click here.:

I have some coins that I wanted to know the value of. They are graded with the "AG,G,VG,F,VF,XF,UNC/MS" grading scale, so a "good" coin is actually in pretty bad condition.

Try to answer as soon as possible, but it is okay if it takes you several weeks due to the quantity of coins.

Note: These coins have no value in the Krause book, but I was wondering if they really had no value

WOWZER, that's a lot of coins to look up! If ya need help man, let me know, I've got all my catalogs right by me!

With regards to the coin though; I think that it's a very nicely minted coin! Simple with a lot of character. Namibian coins aren't too rare, but they are definitely hard to find. Did this one come from the vaults?

Anyway, I had a question for you, how do you feel about guest blogging? Say, I let you post something interesting on my blog if you wanted to, maybe something that you thought of that goes along with the schedule? Just a thought!

Great coin!

Did this one come from the vaults?
--Well yes but I think I found it my change back in 2000. That is why it is such a high grade.

Anyway, I had a question for you, how do you feel about guest blogging?
--Sounds great but right now do not have the time. If that changes I will let you know.

Thank you very much for the coin values. I didn't anticipate such a quick response.

No problem, I actually took longer because there was a huge storm that came by my area and I tried and to get lightning pictures from my office.
