Coined For Money: Round-Up Apr. 22-28, 2013

What is it worth? What could it be worth? And did I just get scammed? The trio of links this week will have you thinking about cash for now and hopefully for the future.

Scotland will decide what national currency to adopt. Will it be the Euro? Maybe a Sterling? Or the tried and true Scot-Dollar?

That famed 1913 nickel was sold for over $3 million and will stay in the United States.

I got slugged for a quarter.

4 dollars worth, for Comments/Questions click here.:

Hey Man! I like your blog. I've collected coins for many years, from circulation and I have a question on the value of a war nickel. Most of mine are that warn out dull color. But I found one that looks very nice. Not like the rest I have. Its a 1942 with a P above montechello. I can see plenty of detail on it. Its not worn out like the rest of my other war nickels. Sorry for the crappy pics if you want to see them.

Probably extra-fine, EF-40 but it seems to have some rust issues.
About $2.00.

No.
This is common and how they come to the bank.

No extra value.
