Washington Quarters Folder 1965-1987

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

Coin supplies, albums, or folders are not on my shopping list. That said when buying coin lots or coin books I have got several albums, I even got free ones with orders. It is part of the numismatic world and they serve a great function. They are displayable, they have great information, they are easy record keepers, and they are usually safe storage.

Not sure where I got this album but it took about 18 months to fill with just circulated coins. Of course you can always try to upgrade each coin for ones in better condition but I think one of each is good enough in any condition. The two blank spaces are for varieties that really does not exist for most clad quarters.

You do not need an album to start a great American coin collection. It is in your change now start with whatever you have in your pockets now. Try this week to remember these little pieces of United States pride.

Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 25 Cents / United States
Year: 1965-1987
Mintage: 21,166,936,015 (yes that's right)
Metal: 91.67% Copper, 8.33% Nickel

Are double plated 24 karat gold state quarters worth anything?

No, they are considered damage and the gold is so thin that is considered unrecoverable.

But 24 karat gold state quarters still have face value, just $0.25 each.
