No. This one does not have machine doubling...
So many are made that machining doubling could be common but high efficiency in making coins makes mistakes less common. It was shadows from a strong light in one direction. At the end it still has no extra value.
Here's the stats for both coins...

2012 Ukraine 5 Kopiyok
Crimea is having problem but the Ukraine is still going on somewhat strong. The press is still their but not as much as when the conflicts started. That means coins like this one are still going to show up in our change.
They are still producing these coins at an unknown, but common, rate. Although not updated on all coin sites this is not the last in the series. They have made coins through 2015.
Here are the stats...
Type/Country: 5 Kopiyok / Ukraine
Year: 2012
Mintage: Not yet known.
Metal: Stainless Steel
Value: $0.50 in XF
Exchange value is still less than 1 U.S. cent.

1991 Bahamas Quarter
It has been years since I found a new Bahamian quarter. There are not many of them but they are also not very collectible so value stays low.
This is the first of the series that ends in 2005 all have unknown mintage and little other information.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 25 Cents / Bahamas
Year: 1991
Mintage: Unknown
Metal: Copper-Nickel
Value: $0.25 in VF (Very-Fine)

1975 Canada 5 Cents
A 40 year old nickel made from 100% nickel who would of thought. Well Canada did but since then they have used less expensive metals.
This one is a bit messed up but it would have little extra value in average condition.
Here's the stats...

1965 Lincoln Memorial Cent
Officially 50 years old which is one criteria to get a post on this blog. Is it special or rare? No, but that is not why I collect.
This was the first year the U.S. Mint stopped adding mint marks to coins. This was done to stop collectors from hoarding coins. Years early the mint announced they would eliminate silver fro coins. This news and the rising value of silver had people falsely thinking they could get rich off their pocket change.
Amateur collectors popped out by the millions. They also started to notice that coins had mint marks and different ones had different values. They expanded their hoarding to every type of coin. The results were a temporary shortage and the government trying to correct it. For the next three years, 1965, 1966, 1968, the mint kept making coins in different locations just not labeling them.
As the silver market settled down and people moved on to the next craze the mint again started putting mint marks on coins.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 1 Cent / United States
Year: 1965
Mintage: 1,497,224,900
Metal: 95% Copper, 5% Zinc
Value: $0.02 in EF-40

2004 East Caribbean States Dollar
It has been over a year since I last found an East Caribbean states coin. Although they are plentiful and the country itself is not that far they still do not often appear in our change.
Sir Francis Drake’s Golden Hinde at sea is on the back like normal. It is copper-nickel and newer coins are now nickel-plated steel I think.
Here are the stats for this coin...

1941 Canadian Cent
An older Canadian cent yet still pretty common. It was a change find and one of the few non-repeats I got lately. Canadian cents are still plentiful in my change but a lot are modern ones.
Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne for so long that if you see a coin without her on it just keep it because it is old.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 1 Cent / Canada
Year: 1941
Mintage: 56,336,011

1992 (1867-1992) Canadian Ten Cents
Another dual date Canadian coin. Again many people think this is an 1867 coin but for many obvious reasons it is not. The later date is nearly always the correct date on dual date coins.
I have not finished my 1990s dime collection from change because they are still difficult to find. Almost done with the Canadian cents except for the 1992.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 10 Cents / Canada
Year: 1992 (1867-1992)
Mintage: 174,476,000

1995 Hong Kong 20 Cents
A nice scalloped shaped coins with 12 notches. It is common coin design to easily make a coin that is almost round. Having this shape gives you all the benefits of a round coin but a easy distinction from other denominations.
The front has the same Bauhinia flower just like the other Hong Kong coins. Although no mintage figures are available I am guessing a lot were made because Hong Kong is a modern place with a robust economy.

1946 D Nickel
Okay I am still here just busy. Found a bunch of coins but without Microsoft Excel on my new PC it has been tough tracking my coins. That aside here is nice older nickel I found in my change.
Pretty common but almost 70 years old makes this a keeper. The small D on the back to the right of Monticello is sometimes hard to see so I often put back coins because I cannot quickly see the back mint mark.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 5 Cents / United States
Year: 1946-D
Mintage: 315,690,000
Metal: 75% Copper 25% Nickel

2010 France 5 Euro Cent
Decent Euro find from France. Euro coins are still worth a little more than U.S. coins so i have notice some travels take back their euros if they accidentally give it as change in the U.S.
Still common and metal value is low this coin probably will never reach collectors rarity but at least I found one.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 5 Euro Cent / France
Year: 2010
Mintage: 203,130,000

2005 Spain 1 Euro Cent
A year since my last Spanish coin find and of course this one is common. People still think of Euro coins as on kind but they are issued from many countries and sometimes have different collector values.
Unfortunately this one is so common that it has only face value. The front has the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and the Spanish word for Spain which is España.

1998 Hong Kong 10 Cents
It has been three years since I last found a coin from Hong Kong. The reason I suspect is that their metal content is too different form American coins. Their economy is good and travel among nations is common. I think I got this as a penny.
The Bauhinia flower is on the front. The back has the denomination and year. This one is brass plated steel which solves the problem of steel getting scratched.

2010 China 1 Jiao
Well China does like messing with money as we saw in the news this past week. Still trade is doing well enough so finding Chinese coins in our American change is not abnormal.
Stainless steel coins seemed to get more scratches than other metals but they hold their shape better. This one is fairly new but looks beat up. I do not get many of these but the few I have are in better shape. Even in great shape they have little value because of metal value and the fact billions were probably made.
Here's the stats for both coins...

The most common of the Colombian 50 pesos from the 1989-1993 series. There are varieties in this series but most are common and I do not know exactly what kind exist.

1965 Washington Quarter
The first clad quarter.
Issued at a time when mint marks were not used.
The most common quarter with over 1.8 billion made.
If you recall I am trying to collect every unique coin I come across. I only post newer ones or those from the U.S. that are 50 years or older.
By 1964 they stopped issuing circulating silver coins. 1965 was the first of circulating clad coins. Clad is when they cover one metal with another. These coins have a pure copper core and it is bonded to a 75% copper - 25% nickel outer layer on both sides. The guy who invented this clad process eventually went on to found All-Clad cookware which I also use.
Despite small outrage that only precious metal was real money most people accepted the money. Now that even these metals are going up in value the false outrage about changing it to a cheaper metal has begun.
Here's the stats...

Year: 1965

Metal: 91.67% Copper 8.33% Nickel

1967 Belgium Franc, Dutch Legend Coin Alignment
Nice to see European coins from almost 40 years ago are still floating around. It is still a common type but at least it is not another Euro coin.
There is one with the French legend but it is still the same value. I think melt value will make it go up but aside from that this is not a coin to retire on.

John Adams was the second president of the United States of America. He served from 1797 to 1801 and partied like it was 1799.
President Adams was the only Federalists president. That party was all for a strong central government and it did not last long. He served one term and just continued most of Washington's policies.

2012-D Chaco Culture Quarter
Chaco Culture National Historical Park is in New Mexico. It is a historical site once used by Puebloan Indians about 1,200 years ago.
On the reverse is the Chetro Ketl complex which has two kivas. Kivas are ceremonial buildings. The were completely enclosed but over time they collapsed leaving a round outline. Everything built seemed to be aligned to the stars and seasons so many think this was a worship site not necessarily a place where people lived all year long.

1970 Bermuda Five Cents
The most common of the Bermuda five cent coins from the 1970-1985 series. It is also the first of its kind.
The angel fish is featured as well as Queen Elizabeth II. I think the last Bermuda five cents was issued in 2009. Although they have a low mintage they are still common and low interest among collectors keeps value low.
Here's the stats ...
Type/Country: 5 Cents / Bermuda
Year: 1970
Mintage: 2,190,000
Metal: Copper-Nickel
Value: $0.15 in XF

2002 Italy 10 Euro Cent
There are three varieties of this coin with different sizes for the designers initials on the front. I only own one and cannot find information on the other two so I cannot say what the true difference looks like.
As far as I know the varieties all have the same value. I guess with over a billion made they are common. The first of Italian euro coins it was made in huge amounts. I am guessing the dies were repunched several times resulting in varieties.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 10 Euro Cent / Italy
Year: 2002
Mintage: 1,142,383,000
Metal: Aluminum-Bronze
Value: $0.25

10th Anniversary (19 days late)
Ten years+!
What I have been busy and forgot. Plus I no longer count my visitors via Sitemeter so I kind lost track.
My finds have lessened from last year. People are buying more and using cash but at least in my change finds it has been mostly new coins. Whatever filter being used to keep "funny money" out of our change it is working.
I started a Facebook page for this blog but am reluctant to share it because I am losing visitors everyday so it may not be a good idea.
It does not seem like ten years but then again when I look back it seemed so simple and quaint. I started as a place to post about low value change finds and a place to ask questions the big time collectors do not. This blog still does that but now it is also a tracker and a trend finder. I see pattern in my finds that I would not notice, also the questions let me see what casual collectors are still confused by.

Tin/Aluminum or Diamond Jewelry Anniversary
Finally traditional anniversary items that are coin related (I'll add pictures later). Tin and aluminum are cheap and has been used in coins for a long time. They do not last as long but can be easily shaped.Coined For Money Blog
Almost 3 million visitors which is an estimate since Sitemeter, the blog visitor counter, is no longer functioning properly. I still have Google Adsense that track visits but does not display. Not much else different behind the scenes at this blog. I still track everything via spreadsheets. I have been using my phone more often to access the spreadsheets. It keeps me from getting too many repeats. My finds have lessened from last year. People are buying more and using cash but at least in my change finds it has been mostly new coins. Looking into the future
Total integration is still possible but lack of time is my biggest issue. I am working a lot so that is good. Yet I will still accept donations to try and keep this blog relevant and up to date.
I thank you all and keep those questions coming

2012 Mauritius 5 Cents
First coin from Mauritius found in my change. African coins are the most difficult to find since there are so many countries and travel is low at least for Americans. Mauritius is a tropical Island that Europeans frequent which is probably how I got this coin.
One side says MAURITIUS FIVE CENTS 2012 in the center is a big 5. The other side says DR THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR SEEWOOSAGUR RAMGOOLAM KT and a portrait of the man himself is at the center. He was a leader of Mauritius and did all that he could to make the nation independent. The coin is copper plated steel and although no exact mintage figures are known it is believed to be common.
Mauritius is an island nation between Africa, Australia and India. The have a large Indian population and see tourist from all over but mainly Europe. They have monkeys that are exported to the U.S. for experimentation but because of its location is not a top destination spot for Americans.
Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 5 Cents / Mauritius
Year: 2012
Mintage: Not yet known.
Metal: Copper-Plated Steel
Value: $0.10 in XF
