1999 $5 Bill, BE-B

Have a five dollar star note and want to know its value? Leave a comment

This five is in rough shape especially considering I pulled it out of my change a few years ago. Things are not permanent and if you wait too long they might disappear. These bill quickly began to go away as newer notes appeared. Since this 1999 series was printed four more series have been issued.

Again this note is still common but the lack of enhanced security features makes it a shred priority for the banks and government. The fact it lacks the latest bright colors makes it easy to separate at the bank level. I hope to upgrade this note but I do not see that happening soon or ever for free.

Here's the stats for this bill...
Type/Federal Bank: $5 Note - Fort Worth / Richmond
Year: 1999
Printings: 262,400,000
Printed: February 2001
Run: 1st run out of 15 from BE00000001B - BE06400000B
Value:  $5.00 in Fine
