My two newest buys are these half dollars from eBay for a price of $6.02 for both. I've never found a Walker half dollar in my change so I only get them if I buy them.
The Liberty Walking halves were minted from 1916-1947 they average $7.25 for G-4 and $40.00 for MS-60.The most valuable circulating piece is the 1921D at $325.00 in G-4 or $4,750 in MS-60. The least valuable are most of the years between 1949-1947 at $7.00 in G-4.

The mint-mark would be on the reverse over the value.
In good it's about $24.00.
In fine it's about $50.00.
a 1944 half dollar, on the back side under the eagles tail feathers there seems to be a side ways z or maybe a w. might be an N any ideas?

The thing under the feathers are the monogram "AW". It is for Adolph A. Weinman who designed this coin.
It's about $6.50 mostly for the silver content.

Prices for newer ones tend to be unstable, falling fast as more are reported then going up and down over the next ten years.
I just recieved my moms coin collection and one has me stumped... Id love to know its value , its a 1936 half dollar I was told its not been touched by humans but it looks like the eagle and the lady have no features. I cant seem to get a good picture of it either

It's sound like a weak strike or it was circulated 50 years ago. Either way it's just about $7.00.

The W is actually AW which is Adolph A. Weinman the designers initials.

Type 1 and 2 are only for proof S mint coins.
Type 1 is a filled S.
Type 2 is a clear S.
