The Euro

Do you have any Euro and want to find out its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.

Most Euro coinage I get comes from friends and family who give them to me. Many of them are European or travel to Europe so often that the coins are no longer special to them. One kind family member recently gave me these 5 Euros...

euro2

The Euros pictured here are the 1 Euro cent, the 2 Euro cents, the 5 Euro cents and two 10 Euro cents. There are also a .20, .50, 1.00 & 2.00 Euro coin piece. Euro coins and banknotes(currency) came into circulation on January 1, 2002. There were 12 Euro countries now there are 15 but other places make Euro or Euro-looking coins.

Look at the reverse of the coin to find out their country of origin, the fronts are usually all the same.

The prices on Euros varies from country to country and year to year because after large mint productions in the early years. Later years were minted in smaller quantities making them more valuable. Other years are not yet released to the public making accidentally finding one rare for the moment.

Of the original 96 Euros I've found, or was given, 22 different types and many repeats. From Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Spain.

22 dollars worth, for Comments/Questions click here.:

i have euro money i would like to know if i can sell it and how can i do that plz ty

Ebay.

Very few Euros are worth big money.
Unfortunately with foreign exchange rates the Euro is worth more than a dollar. Which may be good for you.

If you join a coin forum some trades or sales may be worth it. Generally don't expect much.

What you are talking about was a mule between a quarter and a dollar...

those were worth a lot.

It sounds that you may have either have some plated fake or an Off-Metal Error still worth thousands...

The key to know what you have is weight.
Weigh it then from there it can be known.

Either 1940 or 1941 or 1945.

Varieties exist that may be valuable. Check out the site below and see if your coin has a PLVS on the column. Not a PLUS which is common.
Spanish link
Ignore the words and pop-up and just look at the pic.

If your coin is to worn to see the column then it is just $0.10.

I can just barely discern a V on the ribbon i think but since i dnt have a magnifying glass ill have to get one to make sure. im fairly certain its a V though even though its very faint.

That would narrow it down to 1940 or 1941 either would be $10.00 in low grade but if you can get a good magnifier to see if that last digit is 1 or 0. If the date is not readable in anyway then $2-$5 for the coin.

A Spanish coin expert may be able to help because many varieties exist but I only know the major ones.

These old aluminum coins are tough to find in good shape so even if rare it may lose value if worn.

its faded and worn but still in pretty good shape. the date on the front is 1941 i compared the last digit to the first and realized they were the same so its from 1941.

1941 PLVS 10 Centimos in good is about $5.00
The worn condition is concerning because collectors want the PLVS or VNA on the back to pop out. So estimate it lower but still a nice coin.

The 1940 is rarer.

Hello I have a few finnish 1 euro with two whooper swans on the back they're all from years 2004, 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2009 I read that they're depending on year from 300.000 - 700.000 in circulation and one of them you can buy from a retailer for 1.80
They're all printed with M except for 2009 that has a FI and a small weird symbol that doesn't represent a letter.

I wonder if somebody outside of Finland would consider buying them for collecting and what would be a realistic price if they would* Also got a finnish 10 Mark with Urho Kekkonen president face in front and a forest background in the back, there's a small S printed.

--About $8.00 U.S. or 4.00 Euro

These are common coins and only on eBay would they sell for more than face value.

I have a 2002 Irish 5 cent coin that has what I can only describe as a blob of metal under the end of the harp stamp. At first I thought from the feel of it that something was stuck to it but there isn't. I've never seen one like it before. Is this a common mistake on coins??

It is a Die Break error and it is fairly common.

If it reaches the rim it would be around $5.00 but it is usually less if small.
