I found these two Canadian cents in my pocket change today.
This brings my found Canadian coins to 251. Most of which are not worth much. They must be in a high grade to be sold or bought by dealers.

The oldest Canada cent I found was from 1943 at VG-8 it's worth $0.10, at MS-63 it's $25.00. The only low grade Canadian penny that is valued high a 1955 variety at about $85.00.
Sidenote: I've been using a scanner get a picture of my coins but I think I might try my camera to get more details I never did learn how to properly use the scanner, why start now.

Nothing in those years stands out as extra value. Since your in Canada then I think you will only get face value and the only way you may get a profit is selling on eBay (U.S) but maybe that won't be enough.

About $0.03 you should not clean coins but since this is do low value then dip in pure acetone, not nail polish remover, then rinse in distilled water, pat dry.
Or just scrub with Windex since it is a 3 cent coin.

These were full copper not plated, so weigh it to see if it an error but it just sounds like a plated fake.

It is British the back is a Celtic design.
There are 2 version like you describe.
1) Is silver with a gold plated ring at $50.00.
2) Is copper-nickel with a brass ring at $4.00.
The silver version is proof meaning very shiny with a mirror like background.
The other has a dull finish not very mirror-like.

Basically small denticles have a space between them that can fit another denticle.
The space between large denticles is too small fit another dentical.

I'm assuming low grades if these coins are high grade then they can go for 10 times what I listed.
Also their are many varieties and errors that are not obvious to most.
Also the person could be misinformed even collectors make mistakes when buying.
My advice is sell.
If you want ask him why he's overpaying but if doesn't want to say it's fine.
Do you have any reason to keep these coins? If not then sell wish the guy well with the knowledge you and the guy made a nice profit.

The sacksville k181 corvette navy ship. well its partially gilted and when i first got it the plastic case broke and i touched it and then foolishely tried cleaning it. scratched everywere. now i refuse to touch it. in mint shape how much is that worth? i sold it to me sissy for 20 bucks and i bought it at the dalmeny post office for 54$.

It is just a die break, I know it looks like a perfect circle but this was not anything special.
