Swiss Has Holes

Do you have Swiss coin and want to know its value? Leave a comment

So many things are wrong with this little obsolete coin. First thing is that it has a hole in it, which is never good. Then it is the wrong color. Finally it is beginning to rust. All of this leads me to believe that some jeweler got their hands on this coin.

The hole is very precise and drilled in one direction. You can barely see that inside the silver color extends into the hole but underneath is a copper color. According to all the records this should be a bronze coin. The coin is slightly magnetic, the strongest attraction being on the edge. Did someone plate it with steel? That would explain the rust.

It is supposed to weigh 1.54 grams if bronze and oddly enough even with the hole that is exactly what it weighs. Again just guessing but the steel is adding extra weight.

It is a tiny coin 16mm meaning it is perfect for all types of jewelery from earrings to pendants to cufflinks. I have even seen these coins sewn on handbags.

Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 1 Rappen / Switzerland
Year: 1958 B
Mintage: 20,142,000
Metal: Bronze?
Value: Damaged $0.01

If there any other possible explanations for the color please let me know.

They were made both ways, medal and coin alignment.

No extra value.

Hey Man, I bought some coins in the $1 box from a coin shop. I have a Switzerland 2 rappen 1851. It has a letter A below the wreath on the reverse Idk if its a mintmark or not. It is marked G-4 as the grade.

Okay so I read quite a few of the comments up-to-date and so I have a general idea of the value of my coins but hey it doesn't hurt to get a confirmation eh? Haha
So I have two Chuck E cheese coins the first one is 1994 the dual-sided eat face coin with the little r and it's the goldish color. The second one is a bit older 1984 with the "in Pizza We Trust" & play value $0.25, on the other side it's got smile America say Chuck-E-Cheese with the old school rat picture but this one is actually very Shiny with really crisp edges with a riveted looking boundary on the inside of the face of both sides of the coin. Though I imagine these aren't worth much Maybe somewhere between dollar to $2.50. I do have another question about a couple things I have a 1900 and 1907 wheat back Indian Head pennies one is definitely bronze the other one is definitely copper nickel I was curious what those might go for? the 1900 is the copper nickel and it's in fantastic condition the other one not so much but still fairly good condition. And then one last question because I have hundreds of awesome coins that I have no idea if they're valuable but obviously I'm not going to go on all day lol I came acrossed what looks like it was going to be a quarter but it never made it through the Press I guess the weird thing is that this is the second one I found within the last 6 or 7 months though I've never seen one before but I was wondering if you knew anything about it. if they had any value or how the hell I came about finding two of them within a six-month period LOL that's pretty strange. Thx buddy!
