An African Violet leaf?
That is scary accurate. African violet is correct.
That little plant started blooming 2 weeks ago.
Hey man, how much would you say a first day issue $2 dollar bill (US) is worth from 1976?

Just $2.00 that one is in no good shape.
1925 French 2Fr coin
Unfortunately it looks like it may have been cleaned so about $0.50, even if not cleaned it looks about XF so about $4.00.
Thank you. I don't know if it has been cleaned or not. Just been sitting in a box with a bunch of other old coins since my father gave them to me 30 years ago.
Thanks again.

Then it probably was improperly stored, sometimes contact with other metals affects coins.
To prevent further degradation place it in a coin safe holder, they are relatively cheap.
Water drops on your 1-cent 1944 coin!!! ;-)

Water is fine as long as it is dabbed clean. Plus the fact I didn't bury this one in the dirt is good enough.
I have 2 $100 bills I'd like to know the value of.
One is a 1929 Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland D00261937A with a D after the serial number. It has a red seal on the front and says "National Currency" at the top. The other is a 1977 $100 bill B00084490 with a star after the serial number Federal Reserve Bank of New York
Thanks!
What kind of coin books do you use to identify the coins? by the way great blog. Thanks

$100 bill 1929 Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland D00261937A with a D after the serial number. It has a red seal on the front and says "National Currency" at the top.
About $140.00 in very-fine, it's a brown seal.
1977 $100 bill B00084490*
About $120.00 in very-fine
What kind of coin books do you use to identify the coins?
All kinds...it is easier to check the Books link on the right side of this blog.
what do you do mostly with your coins do you sell, keep, or what?
I keep tem all since they are generally too low value to sell.
If I ever find a coin or bill worth more than $100 I would sell it immediately.
500 dollar bill from THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS with a date of 1840
$1,500 in fine, the last auction I saw was for an ungraded Good that sold for about $500.00.
That said many fakes and replicas exist, only a specialty dealer can tell in person.
I have a 1969 c $20 bill that has the secretary of the treasury signed by George p shultz - is this a fake?
Hello its me again, I have just completed a coin collection of at least ms-60 US pennies 2008---1959. How much do you think I could get for this? thank you
1969 c $20 bill that has the secretary of the treasury signed by George p shultz - is this a fake?
This is real it is common and has no extra value.
completed a coin collection of at least ms-60 US pennies 2008---1959.
Assuming you have all the design varieties, not including the errors or S mints.
It would be about $12.00.
I might be offtopic but I'm getting pretty desperate. I have a 1915 coin wich reads: "victoria dei gra britt regina fid def ind imp" and shows a female portrait (queen victoria I supose). On the flipside it has a man on a horse fighting what seems like a dragon. Underneath him it reads 1915 BR, to he's left side it reads Fetish and to his right 750/000.
I've done some research and can only find similar coins but from earlier years and with different inscriptions. Any clue?

This sounds like a sovereign that has either been altered or is a fake or souvenir.
A picture may clarify if you decide to track it down online.

Man,
I also have a 1904 Liberty Head Silver Dollar. Your thoughts?
Thank you!
1928 Liberty Head, no mint mark.
What denomination?
1904 Liberty Head Silver Dollar about $30.00
how much would a ten dollar bill from 1977 be worth
ten dollar bill from 1977 just $10.00
Hi, I have a $20 bill from 1977 with the serial numbers and seal printed on the back (you can see a picture of it here on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130396526575&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT). This came from an ATM machine in 1977, and has been in a safe ever since. Am I right to describe this as uncirculated? I wish I had found your website sooner. . .
$20 bill from 1977 with the serial numbers and seal printed on the back
It looks crisp-uncirculated but maybe not choice but that is ok if you make it clear it is ungraded.
Very nice Overprint on the Back error it averages about $500.00 I hope the auction goes well, good luck.
I found a ten dollar bill from 1950 with a serial code: B77879478E and under the date is says: A. Any ideas on it's worth? I'm at r_eskew1989@hotmail.com if u could let me know?
thank you!
ten dollar bill from 1950 with a serial code: B77879478E and under the date is says: A.
About $12.00
1974 dime that seems to be misprinted there are no ridges around it and the words "in god we trust" aren't fully there alSo there is like a raised edge around it.
Sounds like damage ad if someone smoothed the edge, no extra value.
I have a Series 1981A $100 bill, the serial number ends in a G. I am being told it is counterfeit as it should end in an A. Do you know if this is a misprint? Thanks!
Series 1981A $100 bill, the serial number ends in a G. I am being told it is counterfeit as it should end in an A.
They are right.
All $100 1981A bills end with either A or *.
$100 bills were often counterfeit and this one may pass a pen test as they were often made from bleached $1 bills.
After receiving a $10 bill from a register, I attempted to make a purchase with it and it was marked as forged dollar. After taking the money to the police and going through that process, I was promptly handed back the bill because it wasn't fake, just old. It's a 1950's C series Serial# G64005653F. I would like to know if it has some more face value.

It happens old bills don't always pass test.
It is about $12.50.
$10 Bill....also 1950 G series serial number G47953853B From the Fed Reserve Bank of Chicago Illinois. Worth anything??
$10 Bill....also 1950 G series serial number G47953853B
About $12.00
I received a $10 bill 1950 E Series as change. Probably only about $12 value according to similar postings above, but I noticed the cut of my bill is off-center. Does that add any additional value?
Series 1950 E $10 with off-center cut
$10 bill 1950 E Series as change. Probably only about $12 value according to similar postings above, but I noticed the cut of my bill is off-center.
About $30.00 the minor off-center does not add value.
i have a 1950 G series Ten dollar Bill that seems to be printed off center. there is no white on the top of the bill very noticable. Does any one know the value of this?
1950 G series Ten dollar Bill that seems to be printed off center. there is no white on the top of the bill very noticable.
If you mean a 1950 with a district letter of G it is about $12.00 the Minor Faulty Alignment eror does not add any value.
i have a 1950 10 dollar bill. the serial number is e5616821a it has a big E on the right and in the right hand corner it has C136. how much is this worth
1950 10 dollar bill. the serial number is e5616821a about $12.00
I have a 2008-P Alaska Quarter that has a gold tone to it. Just wondering what this is, as I've never seen the gold tone on a new US coin.
2008-P Alaska Quarter that has a gold tone to it
It happens when a coin is heated like in a dryer, also when exposed to certain chemicals.
No extra value.
10 dollar bill 1934A in VF grade.
1950 five dollar bill in XF grade.
1976 2 dollar bill in CU grade.
10 dollar bill 1934A in VF grade about $11.00
1950 five dollar bill in XF grade about $7.00
1976 2 dollar bill in CU grade about $3.00
Average-low since no serial numbers were given.
Hi, would you help me out with the value of some bills I have?
1934A $20 bill Fed Bank New York Serial B48449999A - I'd say near perfect condition, looks untouched except for one crease not even a quarter inch long across the bottom left corner
1934 $20 bill Fed Bank New York Serial B10499863A - Lime green seal, fairly crisp but a few noticeable folds
1950C 10$ bill Fed Bank New York Serial B29783728* - Very crisp except for one not too noticeable fold down the center
1934 $5 bill Fed Bank New York Serial B 04861373A - Lime green seal, quite a few folds and rather dirty
1957 $1 Silver Certificate Serial *9653833B - Decent condition, some dirt, a few folds
1935A $1 Silver Certificate Serial S55197551C - Fair condition, couple of folds but otherwise crisp
I'm especially interested in the value of the 1950C $10 * note; I have someone interested in buying it for $75 but looking online I see some going for more.
I also have a very worn 1912 Liberty nickel (can barely read "United States of America" on the back). I'm assuming it's not worth much considering the condition, just cool to have.
Thank you very much for any and all help!

Hello, my name is Carlos and I am in power of a currency similar to that partner says.
I mean the sovereign victoria dei gra brittregina fid def ind imp. On the back the horse with the dragon and overhead jorge embossed reads "fetish 750/000" YEAR 1915.
I have understood that only sovereigns were minted with the face of victory until 1901 and as much as I look I can not find anything like it.
I'm not fond of this one I have this coin bearing in my family since I have use of reason, belonged to my visabuela who died at 105 years of age and that 36 years ago.
So that is a copy rule, I'm from Cadiz "Spain" ye found another message from someone in valencia with the same doubts.

Es un reproducción para joyeria.
It is a copy.
Only metal value it is 18 karat gold or 75% gold. These were made for jewelery and are not real coin.
Hi,with surprise I saw one of your posts dtd March,27th'10 which exactly describes what I am looking for: "Quote"

Again it is a sovereign but without a picture I cannot say if it a fake or real.
