2014 Ukraine 5 Kopiyok

After the revolution in the Ukraine earlier this year I expected to see their coins end up in our change as reporters and other returned to NYC. This is a very new coin and mintage and value is not completely known.

украïиа (Ukraine) with the national arms and date 2014
5 копiйок (Kopiyok) with a wreath and berries.
The date has a cool font and next to it is the mint mark, I think it is of the Bank of Ukraine which is in Kiev far from the Russian controlled Crimea. I do not know if the increased or decreased during their conflict. Recent years saw these coins going for $5.00 in mint state while older coins were just $0.15.

The Ukrainians have bigger issues than coins but from what I read smaller coins circulate well but lost lots of value. Unlike third world countries that may become devastated with war the Ukraine conflict was short lived and most places were not destroyed. With the infrastructure intact currency and coins kept flowing for most citizens.

Here are the stats...
Type/Country: 5 Kopiyok / Ukraine
Year: 2014
Mintage: Not yet known.
Metal: Stainless Steel
Value: $0.50 in VF

Exchange value is less than 1 U.S. cent.

Do you have any German Euro coin and want to know its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.
