It's Summer in Argentina

Do you have an Argentinian  coin and want to know its value? Leave a comment

Warm weather and beautiful days exist somewhere but apparently not here. Instead of importing some of that nice heat and humidity someone just dropped off a few centavos in my change.

The two 5 Centavos are identical. Both are from 2007 so I just took one picture of the the best side.

The obverse has a radiant sun-face and the words REPUBLICA ARGENTINA , EN UNION Y LIBERTAD. This means Republic Argentina, In union and liberty..

The reverse has 5 centavos 2007.

Here's the stats ...
Type/Country: 5 Centavos / Argentina
Year: 2007
Mintage: 183,000,000
Metal: Brass
Value: $0.20 in XF

It's been years since I found a coin from Argentina apparently since 2002 there has been a healthy currency manipulation by Argentina to the U.S. dollar so the coinage does not flow as freely.

Do you have a coin from Argentina and want to know its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.

28 dollars worth, for Comments/Questions click here.:

This may be completely out of your league, but I'll give it a shot anyway.
Are stocks worth anything? I'm bidding on a 1925 Tobacco stock.
This is just an example of what i'm talking about:

It's okay, if you can't help.
On another note I got a 1918 wheat penny that in good condition, still a bit shiny, but mostly brown in color. What would you say the value is?

That is damage done outside the mint the gray is the zinc core. No extra value.

Mexican 5 cent coin (1975) only $0.05 in that condition.

$20 dollar 1990 serial #B-D only $20.00

Off-Centers are only worth extra if you can see a bit of another bill coming through or if the entire face is shifted 25% or more.

Hi, Man,

I have 3 foreign banknotes I was wondering the values of--unfortunately I am having trouble with Photobucket and can't open my account to post pictures. I have:

1917 One Rupee signed by A. C. McWatters, prefix "P/53" Watermark: Rectangle Enclosed Star. Condition: Good. There are a couple of wearing type holes on the horizontal fold line and there are some nicks and one small tear on the edges. The corners are slightly rounded, some damage. There is yellowing of the paper and fading of the inks, the bill is dirty looking. 3 staple holes. Has some small purple and blue marks on the back, looks like computations of some kind. Also has one darkish stain smaller than a dime on the back.

1917 2 annas 8 Rupee signed by M. M S Gubbay, Prefix "B/6" Watermark: Rectangle Enclosed Star. Condition: Very Fine, no holes that I can see. The inks are bright and the paper is almost crisp. Corners are slightly rounded, no nicks or tears. Has been folded vertically and horizontally but is a fairly clean note.

1923 5 drachmae American Banknote Company. Syria? Greece? Bill was circulated a lot and very wrinkled and dirty and I can't read the signature--very small and the 3rd one is faded. I have no idea who the person is on the bill or the image on the back--possibly a goddess? The paper has the feel of linen paper like U. S. currency, very rumpled, though, soft. Probably not enough information. But this is as close as I can decipher:
EONIKH TPA?EZA TH? E^^ADO?
EXo52 809400 5 DPAXMAI ?ENTE (Greek? Syrian? language? Sorry, I don't have the correct font to type what's on the bill).
Thank you,
Ms. F

Greek about $5.00 I don't know the people on it but it was made in the U.S. and so was most Greek currency for most of the 19th and early 20th centuries.

I don't know about the above information, a One rupee 1917 note goes for$ 400.00 or more on ebay and a 2 rupees annas eight note can go for thousands.....

True in Mint State 60 or higher but remember the person said the grade was Good-4 and Very-Fine-20 these have less value. Also be aware there are many varieties.

The scale is from 1-70, where 70 is perfect.
Most of those notes on eBay never sold, I give the minimum value.
