Spanish 10 Euro Cent

Do you have a Euro coin and want to know its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.

What can I say about the Euro that hasn't been said before? The exchange rate is about 13 U.S. cents for every 10 Euro Cents. They still pop up in my change, although this one was prompted out of register when I caught a glimpse of it. Cashiers are still nice when they're not too busy.

The new coin books are coming out and are tax deductible if used in part of your coin business. Still I can't afford them now and I don't have the time to bargain shop. I will need them seeing how most 2008 Euros are not listed although now some good online sites provide mintage information.

I'll keep it short and leave with the pictures and statistics on my recent find.

Here's the stats...
Type/Country: 10 Euro Cent / Spain
Year: 2008
Mintage: 139,256,940 (Not official)
Metal: Brass
Value: $0.15 in Very-Fine

Nice to see a cashier being polite for once. I also expect she was glad to get rid of the coin too.

I think these are my second-favourite type of Euro, after the Netherlands ones, for artwork. I do like that "Hamlet"-looking guy on these coins.

When I first saw one I thought "Shakespeare" what an odd choice, then I saw Cervantes and still thought it was an odd choice.

I guess these contries have run out of flowers or animals to use, or just want to be different!

Did you see this from last year? Shame we lost one of our "trademarks" on the 50p coin;

/QUOTE from http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/article3265406.ece"The news that Britannia is to be dropped from the new 50p piece has sparked much righteous indignation in those who see it as a betrayal both of Britain and its glorious historical heritage. It will be the first time in 300 years that she has not appeared on our coins. MORE..."/ENDQUOTE

I did not originally see that article but it goes with the trend of having "awesome" designs over tradition.

If you ever see the commemorative coins of any country the are designed like Picasso meets Photoshop.

Is it true that in 1938 there were no $1 bills printed? Please answer

I did answer this but I will answer a second time.

No dollar bills dated 1938 exist in the U.S.

There are 1928, 1934, 1935, 1957, and all the sub-varieties indicated by a letter close to the date.

As for actual printing staring in January 28, 1938 they printed the 1935-A $1 bill the back number of 930 or higher is how to tell if the bill was printed in 1938 or later.
1935-B starts being printed in July of 1945

1964 MS 65 Proof quarters ... I have a roll that the seller had taken from sets so as to sell the other coins individually or in rolls. (That's what I was told) Pretty sure I pd. $100 in '88. They are in a plastic 'container' made for quarters. I assume there are 40 in the roll
1. Is it bad that they were broken up... does that take away from the 'proof' rating?
2. What would they be worth in a selling situation today?

Thanks again for all previous help as well.

Espana 1949, silver hole in middle, picture of an anchour and on other side 50 centos with a castle

Type/Country: 50 Centimos / Spain
Year: Not 1949
Mintage: ????
Metal: Copper-Nickel
Value: $0.15 on average
Obv: Anchor, date and part of captains wheel, hole in center
Rev: Value, design with arrows pointing up and hole in center divide assorted shields

Ok so although the 1949 is on the front it is not the date but the year the design was approved.
The real date is two numbers in the star that is on the front.
If 1951 the star will show a tiny 51 in it.

It is very small and it can be a certain number from 51-62.

Not really if they can grade to 65 or more. Maybe cherry pick the best for grading.

2. What would they be worth in a selling situation today?
If these are proof 65 they are $8 each or about $320 for the roll.
That said I suspect they are less than 65 and most likely at 60 it would be $4.25 each (silver value) or $170 so win-win either way.

I have a very beautiful Spanish proof note. 1000 Spanish pesetas, printed on 29th November 1957 with a picture of the Prince and Prince of Spain on one side. It's olive green with red printing. I wonder what it is worth? Any ideas? Thank you so much, TG.

About $80.00 if uncirculated.
