Told you it is possible to find anything in your change. After fifteen months of no silver I got this silver dime in my change two days ago. Just normal change from a supermarket. I noticed the 1946 before anything else, I did not even check the edge to prove it was silver.
Things of note for this particular dime:
- It is worn, weighs 2.47 grams (normal should be 2.50 grams)
- The front is caked with something brown (the less I think about it the better)
- The back is scratched from rim to rim (all value above good is gone)
Here's the stats for this dime...
Type/Country: 10 Cents / United States
Year: 1946 D
Mintage: 61,043,500
Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
Value: $2.46 in G-4 (a silver value of $2.458, a copper value of $0.002)

i have a 1948 dime in little better condition then yours
We have a 1935a series $1 bill. Serial number S45577897C in mint condition, signature is Henry Morgenthau Jr, says Hawaii on front and across the back. The seal is brown. What is this worth?

Still just metal value about $2.50.
Unless near perfect the metal value usually outpaces the collectors value.

About $100.00 it may be worth it to have it graded, of course a higher grade will bring up the value.
I found this penny and it is clipped.
I would like to know its value.

Your pictures are very blurry so I cannot judge accurately.
The edge showing the zinc core suggest damage instead of a true error.
That said even if a true clip it's about $5.00.
I was just wondering why the 1969(large date) canadian dime is valued at $10,000 for a VF-20
in the charlton catalogue Volume One, 2012 - 66th Edition..
just curious to why? I cant find anything anywhere.

Because it lost value, this is a rare coin but several more have been found in higher grades. Currently it is easier to find them in lower grades.
This is a good find! The earliest dime I found in my change was a 1957 dime. Lately, I found nothing except a few Presidential One Dollar Coins. Mostly I've been getting foreign coins from my friends.

--Still good, it has been a while since I don't use cash in the subway machines.

--That's what friends are for.
Hopefully sometime this week I can make a list of the foreign coins and see the prices.
For the Presidential Dollars, I got my first "D" mint mark one. I was really surprised.

--Nice your getting closer to finding one of each.
I found a 1985 P dime by a copy machine. I tried to use it in the machine but it kept spitting it out. When I looked at it closer I found that it is as thick as a quarter on part of the dime, and regular thickness on the other part. Rare or Common?

Sounds damaged, although it could be a Misaligned Die either way it generally has no extra value.
That said weight it and possibly take some clear images and put them on your blog, it maybe another type of error.
Hopefully someday I can obtain all of the Presidential Dollar coins.
