2010 Hot Springs Quarter

Do you have a quarter and want to know its value? Leave a comment

For the next eleven years the U.S. Mint will be making quarters honoring parks. These America the Beautiful coins will total 56 designs featuring national parks from every state and territory of the United States of America.

This is the first national park quarter I found and it also happens to be the first to be released. Hot Springs is located in Arkansas on 5,400 acres of watery goodness. Made into a national park in 1832 it was protected because of it beneficial springs.

This coin looked better in hand but still it was incredibly scratched. Most of these quarters have a satin finish  to them which means the field is not mirror like. This is done to reduce fingerprints and a style choice. I prefer the way Canada does it by making proof-like shiny coins for circulation.

Type/Country: 25 Cents-Hot Springs / United States
Year: 2010 P
Mintage: 35,600,000 (estimated)
Metal: 91.67% Copper 8.33% Nickel
Value: $0.25 in F-12

Sidenote: Also found a 1995 Canadian nickel which I will ignore because I posted about it before.

Do you have a coin from America and want to know its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.

29 dollars worth, for Comments/Questions click here.:

how much does a uncirculated Yellowstone and Gettysburg cost?

Well go to a bank it should just $0.25.
Current eBay and local dealers have them at $1.00.

Honestly you shouldn't pay more than $0.40 for an uncirculated Park quarter. Try a forum or coin club to see if you can get them for cheap or just face value.

I haven't seen these yet. I will be on the lookout.

That isn't your filthy windowsill, is it?

Yup and getting filthier since I'm working and have zero time to clean. I have left the window open during rain showers a few times and now they are dirty and crusty. :-)

Well I'll wait for spring to do some spring cleaning.

Odd phrasing if you mean emotionally then not much.
If you mean how much they're worth just $0.01.

I have a ten dollar bill from 1950 in very good condition. Just a few creases, it still has that "crispy" sound to it. How much is that worth?

Not true this is a common year and mint mark.
906,868,000 were made, that is almost a billion.

Just $0.25.

I have a 2010 Hot Springs quarter. It is in XF-45 condition. According to another site, these can be worth .35 - .95 cents (I think). Is this correct?

Also, you said that most of these quarters have a finish that does not make them mirror like. However mine is very shiny and like a mirror. Will this up the value?

--About $0.35 is correct.

--What is the mint mark P or S or D?

It is D.

2010 Hot Springs quarter...It is D.

Then likely it was polished or plated or just shiny.
It does not add any extra value.

Just out of curiosity, what would the quarter be worth if it was somehow made naturally all shiny like that?

A proof D is impossible so I cannot guess value.

Sounds like a Die Clash, no extra value.

If you think it is something else place a picture online somewhere and copy & paste the link here.
