Sounds like a struck through grease error that caused a slight off-center strike, no extra value.

Your picture is not clear and I cannot make out any details.
I only recognize the second coin is a Chinese cash coin but cannot tell which.

I believe that the coin on the bottom row,on the right, might be a 1797 cartwheel penny from the UK.How much would it be worth in that condition.(I don't own these coins, but I am planning to buy them for $12.

Man said...

1797 cartwheel penny from the UK.How much would it be worth in that condition.

If you mean 2 pence then about $3.00.

If you can identify each coin and they are of simliar time and common, they would be $2-$3 each.

Anonymous said...

I got the coins in the picture on imageshack. I was wondering what they are worth based on the condition. They are:

- a 1797 penny from the UK , you said it was $3 for the 2 pence but there is also a penny version according to this source: http://www.currencyhelp.net/british-cartwheel-penny.html

- a Napoleon III 10 centimes coin, dateless, but I know this type was minted 1852-57 (top row, far left)
- a 1917 5 millemes from Egypt (top row, far right)
- a Chinese Cash coin 1736 to 1795 (top row, center)
- a Chinese 10 cash 1920 (bottom row, far left)

Man said...

-1797 penny from the UK , you said it was $3 for the 2 pence but there is also a penny version according to this source: http://www.currencyhelp.net/british-cartwheel-penny.html
--For penny about $0.50 the problem is the condition, the 2 pence is more valuable but it has to be fully detailed.

-Napoleon III 10 centimes coin, dateless, but I know this type was minted 1852-57 (top row, far left)
--About $0.10

-1917 5 millemes from Egypt (top row, far right)
--About $0.25

- a Chinese Cash coin 1736 to 1795 (top row, center)
- a Chinese 10 cash 1920 (bottom row, far left)
--Without exact province cannot say.

Great job on identification maybe they look clearer in hand.

I assumed a low circulating grade of fine. If your bill is higher grade of course value will be more.

That said no one will give you an exact value as this can be sold for $2 or $2,000 on eBay.

Go to a PCGS dealer in your area...
http://www.pcgs.com/dealers/

Go to a few they should let you know if it is worth grading and the reasonable value, if any.
