This is not from the Isle of Man it's from Great Britain the "D.G.REG.F.D." is only placed on British coins it's about $0.80.

Some people can tell by sound, it has a higher pitch.
I can tell by color silver is brighter while other metals are darker and more yellow.
Best way is look up the coin info in a book, some coins have 40% silver others have 99% silver so it is important to get a book.

Hello!
Last year I found a coin in my back yard while metal detecting. The coin appears to be golden in color and has a man on the obverse wearing 3
medals. Around this man are words that seem to be in Chinese or Japanese. On the reverse is some strange emblem, and surrounding that is more unidentified writing. If you could help me figure out what it is and its value I would greatly appreciate it.

I have 2 coins I would like to know about.
First: Double Tournois, 1624, and Marie de Bourbon, Duchesse of Montpensier (dombes sovereign) on the other.
Second: EIN KREUTZER 1702 or 1792 (can't tell)on one side, and LEOP.II.D.G.R.I.S.A.H.BREX.A.A.M.B on the reverse.
