Finding Canadian quarters in my American change is not all that rare but also not common. I found this one yesterday after getting change from a food cart. It is normal issue 2007 Canadian quarter just like I found when they first came out in 2007.
Back when I first found one in 2007 they were new and shiny, I was confused since it was the first time I ever saw the Royal Canadian Mint logo (RCM Logo). It was a cool find and everything about it was just exciting.
Fast forward six years and I got this one which has what I am hoping is green gum stuck to it. Most of the excitement is low yet I am doing another post because it was still an unexpected change find. Who knew a Halal cart in the middle of NYC would be a new place to find coins.

found a strange coin, has a bearded dude on the back named 'PETRUS II' It's dated 1869 on the back, and has what looks like a coat of arms and a value of 20 Rs (?) on the front.

My recent findings were a sterling silver 1902 Canadian 5 Cent piece with King George V, and a few other Canadian coins. The 1995 Quarter with the Elk on reverse, and new to me are the 3 stars (Before and after *CANADA*, and last star before the date *1995)..I noticed nobody else mentioned the different varieties of Canadian Quarters minted those few years in previous posts. I learned from WIKIPEDIA, them years 1994- 1995 were the 125 years worth of Canadian Quarters minted. I'm a coin grader myself. I'll be back to edit this to either show photos, or give some helpful advice on World Book of Coins Knowledge, specifically for Canadian currencies.

--There are no varieties for the 1995 Canadian quarter the elk and stars are common and a normal part of the design.
