2000 Bermuda Nickel

Do you have a coin from Bermuda and want to know its value? Leave a comment

Here we go again a new year and the still showing last years finds. Granted I have not found anything significant in my change. In past years it took until mid-February to find anything good. I can only assume everyone overspends in December and they stop shopping until it gets close to Valentine's Day.

This Bermuda find follows a pattern of Bermuda coins found in December. Well if the universe is trying to give me a hint on where to travel next Christmas I am starting to understand.

The obverse has Queen Elizabeth II, the older effigy with the tiara.
The reverse has the Queen angel fish. The fish is partially poisonous to humans, does not breed well in captivity, and native to the entire western Atlantic Ocean but most common around Bermuda.

Here's the stats ...
Type/Country: 5 Cents / Bermuda
Year: 2000
Mintage: 1,000,000
Metal: Copper-Nickel
Value: $0.30 in XF

Side note: I may test out more labels let me know if it is too much.

Do you have a Bermudian coin and want to know its value? Leave a comment/question and I will do my best to find out the price and history for you.

  1. I don't really see a problem with the new labels, despite the sidebar being a bit longer.

    Towel?

It's always hard to sort after the fact.

  4. Maybe the coin is telling you where to go. I got a Yosemite quarter in my change today. Perhaps that could be my summer trip!

  7. Hi, I know this has nothing to do with your coin haha but I found a Cuban coin in my purse and I've kept it for over a year but I wondered if it was worth anything? It has a palm tree on the front with the words 'Veinte Y Cinco Centavos' which I think means 25 cents? and on the back it dates 1981.
Sorry for being a bit cheeky, as it's not from Bermuda! Thank you!

About $0.05 each, both are common and will not gain any real value unless they are uncirculated.

  16. Bermuda 2000 quarter in good condition about $0.25

In low grade like good through very-fine Bermuda coins have just face value.

In high grade like uncirculated the value is 4 times face value.

  19. I found an Elizabeth Coin from Bermuda in my backpack and I saw the fish and noticed it wasnt like normal Nickels. My friend said it was from columbia or someplace and said it was worth like 12 dollars...

So I tried to do some research and If I try and sell it would it be ok if I sold it for more than five cents...or 30 in this case. Is it really worth 30 cents?

  35. I'm not sure if this forum is still active seeing the last post is from 2015 but I'll give this a shot. I found a very shinny 25 cent Bermuda coin . Elizabeth II on the front behind the queens potrait and Burmuda in front of the queens portrait. The reverse says twenty five cents 2017 and the picture of the long tail bird.
All I can find is this same coin being the 4th portrait last minted in 2009. Any help would greatly be appreciated as I've looked and can't find this coin with this date. Thank you
