1999 $20 Star Note, BL-*

Have a star note and want to know its value? Leave a comment

The non-colorized $20 bills for 1999 are normal. I understand that they are old enough to be pulled from circulation and some people are starting to forget they were around. Like all U.S. notes they are still legal and plenty are still circulating.

Despite the fact they lack the familiar rainbow sherbert coloring they still have most of the same security features. The Jefferson watermark is visible on the right and the plastic security strip is on the left.

This one is also a star note and in pretty great shape. This is because it was one of the last 1999 bills printed. The final run of all the 1999 series $20 bills it was printed in November of 2002. I probably got it in early 2003 so it stayed crisp although it is a bit ruffled on the edges. The printing of the 2001 series did overlap with the 1999 printings mainly for the replacement star notes.

Here's the stats for this bill...
Type/Federal Bank: $20 Note- Fort Worth / San Fransisco
Year: 1999
Printings: 3,200,000
Printed: November 2002
Run: 1st and only from BL00000001* - BL03200000*
Value:  $30.00 in CU

  1. I've got some currency and want to know it's value! I picked up two nice bills at the flea market and was hoping you could tell me a little bit about them. Here they are: http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/DrMath5/?albumview=slideshow

The $5.00 is an 1858 and the $1.00 is an 1852.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. There appears to be some damage but not too horrid.

    $5.00 is an 1858 about $20.00
    $1.00 is an 1852 about $10.00

Again the images are not clear so I may be seeing a higher grade of Fine or better.

  3. I've got a few other things I would like to know the value of as well. Today I got a 1988-A $1.00 bill (serial # E08682496Q) which has a light fold down the center and two light folds on the right side. I also got what appears to be a quarter with a cud (located here: http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/DrMath5/?albumview=slideshow )

Also with the quarter is a 1954 Greek 50 Lepta that I wanted to get a second opinion on based on the drastic differences in prices here: http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/WorldCoinPrices.aspx?category=19951&worldcoinid=62422&FromSearch=true

    Thanks!

    --Just $1.00

quarter with a cud about $15.00

1954 Greek 50 Lepta about $1.25 your images are not clear but it does not look uncirculated which are rare and that is why the value jumps so high.
