The one and only Rhodesian coin I own. There are few things I know about Rhodesia off the top of my head. It was a British colony, it became a republic, and their money as "Rhodesia" lasted from 1964-1977. So it was short lived yet they do have a few special sets.
Certain Rhodesian proof sets are very rare, even unique.
- 1964 (8-coins), Total sets = 10, Double set — $250.00

- 1966 (3-coins), Total sets = 2,000, — $1,600.00
- 1968 (2-coins), Total sets = 3, Double set — $2,250.00

There are 6 coin and 8 coin sets but no 7 coin sets.
These sets are very rare worth over $5,000 each. Since I cannot see your pics I assume you do not have an official set instead you have the unofficial non-proof coins.

ReplyDeleteDoes not sound like an official set. Instead sounds like a type set made by a collector since the 2 1/2 cent was only minted in 1970 it would not be included in a 1975 set.
If Uncirculated each coin is worth about 10-20 times face value, so about $0.10-$5.00 for each coin.
