  3. Thank you for your quick response and valuations.

I am guessing that the $10 and the $20 sheets are 3 and 4x face value because they are replacements. I was surprised at the $2 sheets being only 2x face value, especially the 1976.

I very much appreciate your attention to your blog and taking the time help me out.

-Yes star notes always have a premium

--Unfortunatley the market is flooded with these, a few years back they were also 4x times face but know they are too common.

  5. Man,

Previously I didn't notice your interest in Exonumia, so I have another question for you.
I have a bronze medallion commemorating the moon landing.
Bronze, 24.4g ~3.8cm(d) sculptor Joseph DiLorenzo
Face: "Man's First Landing On The Moon"
(Etching of moon lander on moon with earth in upper left)
    "July 20, 1969"
    Back:
    "The Apollo 11 Mission"
    (Eagle in circle)
    "Commemorating
    The Historic First Flight
    To Land Men
    On The Moon"

It was minted by Medallic Art Company and there is one like it on display at the Smithsonian.
From what I have read it is in AU55-AU58 condition.
    Any thoughts?

    Again my thanks in advance.

About $45.00 they were limited to 10,000 and most survived in high grade. These are basically official copies of the original.

  9. Hi there!

I stumbled across your blog while searching for Errors in Printing.

I have a 2003 A one dollar bill that is missing the federal reserve seal on the left hand side. Everything else seems to be intact. It is wrinkled but in seemingly good condition. Any idea what it's worth? Have a direction to point me into? Thanks for your help!

  11. I have a 1953 American 1 cent coin on which the 3 appears to be doubled. The coin is slightly worn, has a good luster, and very few contact marks. Is it worth much?

There is one known version but it should have doubling on all 4 numbers in the date.

It is $80.00 in low grade.

But yours sounds less, I've never seen just the 3. If real doubling it would be about $5.00 in low grade.

  13. Hey, love reading your blog. Learned lot! I stumbled across what seems to have been at one time someone's complete wheat wheat penny collection. Of course the '09s and '22s are gone. But for the most part I swiped them on the cheap as most are def. uncirculated. A few S's to be had and a lot of everything else - 3 steelies. Any idea of what errors to look for? Found a few cuds and some sweet 19-somethings. Any value or just a nice set to complete? (The 55's are about normal but very minty).

    Thanks

--If all else are UNC then about $4,000.00
    If Almost UNC then $800.00

--Cuds that cover the date are just $5.00.
    Look for doubling or off-metal.

Again the values are assuming a full collection (except 1909 and 1922) and that they can be graded UNC. If these are mostly XF then it would be $250.

  15. Wow, thanks so much! I meant "teens" when I wrote 19-something. The cud is off a wheat stock to the rim and thick, to be more specific. I appreciate your promptness and attentive answer.

  18. While I was out shopping the other day, I happened to come across a 1947 wheat cent. It is quite worn, most of the details being worn off the head. A few of the lines still remain on the wheat heads. Also, I have a rather good condition, 1986 Canadian 2 dollar bill. It only has one light fold in the middle, other than that it is good condition. I am wondering what these two items may be worth. It is very kind of you to be offering this coin-valuing service. It is very helpful.

Hard to say without a picture but probably a Misaligned Die, no extra value.

  28. 1974s/d? where the s appears have been stamped over by a d?

Never heard of this one, it really is not possible for 1974.

It probably is another type of minor error but if real it would be worth hundreds.

Either Struck Through Grease error or not fully struck, either way no extra value.
