1994 Chuck E. Cheese Token

Do you have a Chuck E. Cheese token and want to know its value? Leave a comment

Never been and hopefully will never go.

The thought of a rat as a mascot is disturbing but that has not stopped the popularity of Chuck E. Cheese. This food and game kid-centered franchise has been around in some form since 1977. Since it first started as a pizza arcade they have issued tokens.

While most arcade token never amount to much the Chuck E. Cheese tokens are different. They are internationally known and have a fan base of over thirty years making all items from them collectible.

All in all excluding minor varieties five basic types exist, let me narrow this one down.

Design
Apparently there are many minor versions. Let us start with the basics The mouse head was changed from the rat to this mouse known as Adult Mouse II, later they switched to a younger mouse.

A little ® with small dots after KID" means it was for corporate branches.  A franchise location would have bigger dots and a bigger ® . This one is 25 mm while another exists at 22.5 mm.

Metal
Brass tokens are the most common at about 97.8% of all made followed by copper at 2.1% and white metal at 0.1%.
White metal is a term used for any mixture of silver colored metals. This one could be white metal or nickel plated zinc or nickel plated brass. Aside from cutting them open I found a brass token weighs about 5.60 grams and nickel plated brass should weigh about the same meaning anything lighter would be zinc. Sounds logical.

Value
Checking eBay the cheapest of these average $2.00 but they are all brass. The nickel-plated types average $10.00. Not to mention they still have value at Chuck E. Cheese.

Here are the stats for this token...
Type/Country: (No Value Token) Chuck E. Cheese / U.S.A.
Year: 1994
Mintage: Unknown
Metal: Nickel-Plated Zinc (or white metal or nickel-plated brass)
Diameter: 25 mm Weight: 5.27 grams
Value: $6.00
Obverse/Reverse Writing: "WHERE A KID CAN BE A KID"...1994...

Footnote: Most facts and figures was thanks to the great research done by Mr. Stevens at Forrest's Token Page, the best resource out there. eBay also helped but not as much.

On the front it says "Smile America Say Chuck E CHeese"

On the back it says "In pizza we trust"
Then it has a 25 cent mark. With the world play value under it.

  3. Hi man, I have a couple of star notes I would like to know the value of. one is a 5$ 2006 star note serial # IF00357139 and the other is a 2004 $20 star note serial # EF03125826. Also, is there any value in consecutive serial # notes ?

  4. 5$ 2006 star note serial # IF00357139 about $12.50
    2004 $20 star note serial # EF03125826 about $22.50

Also, is there any value in consecutive serial # notes ?
--Not really, every note is graded uniquely so being consecutive does not raise value.
The exception are the low notes like 00000001,00000002, and on...
Also error notes are worth more if consecutive.

Unless it was made of silver it is common about $2.00. Many others were made all of similar type and value.

I would like to get some information for this person on treasurenet.

  19. The value is already known, but not the use of the token.

This is some type of medal but I have not seen it listed in any medal or token site.

I think this is a jewelery medal not an official one but the back has a "Crowned U" this is the official monogram of the the last king of Italy Umberto.

It may have been a souvenir medal but I have not seen any.

Sorry if I can't be more helpful but token/medals are difficult to track.

  36. Hello,
I have a few Chuckie cheese coins.

1 x 2000 with a C instead of a R after "where a kid can be a kid" and no C on the hat. The face of the rat is also larger than the current tokens. Also, this says TM after the year.

    1 x 2005
The "C" in the word Can is doubled.

    2 x 2008

    13 x 2009

    7 x 2010

    Any special values in these?

Both 2000 tokens are common and have equal low value.

The Doubled one has no extra value since doubling on tokens is not a big market.

These medal/tokens were made used to promote both the Tea Party movement and Ron Paul. These were not official but often distributed during certain rallies.

The secondary goal was to use as trade believing it should replace the one cent coin and eventually they would make more with actual value.

Many people with paranoia and conspiracy theories were hoarding and acquiring these waiting for the government to collapse.

They could have value as Presidential Election Memorabilia but it would be low as both the Tea Party Movement and Ron Paul were complete failures.

  102. Hello and Regards Man, I know that you are a coin expert based off the experience you show throughout the comments. I have a Chuck E. Cheese token that is made out of copper, it has a copper finish and can easily be distinguished from the normal, golden Chuck E. Cheese coin. If you want to have a better idea of what it looks like, search on Google Images, "2004 Chuck E. Cheese Arcade Token Copper" and is the first picture. It is in mint condition, and is states to be "extremely rare" by Dig That Box at their link, "http://digthatbox.com/arcade_token_gallery_2014.html" I just want to know a good price to sell it at or what it was recently sold for, I'm pretty sure it should go for over $10.00. Thank You!

The one pictured is double-sided and has not been in auction for a while, I can only estimate $25-$50.
