Happy Belated Canada Day

Do you have Canadian coins and want to know its value? Leave a comment

My postings are all off. I should posted about the new 2010 U.S. finds now and about these Canada finds last time but I forgot. Oh well as long as we celebrate with fireworks, history and coins we should all be fine.

These finds are just some common Canadians I found in circulated condition. They are grouped together just like that I do not spend a post on each, all were found on separate days.

It seems I'm breaking  personal records on Canadian finds this year as in oldest, newest and quantity yet none will help me retire early.

  8. 1919 Large Canadian Penny...it has a dot before the date

    About $1.00 in very-good.

The dot is a small die break and not part of the design. It adds no extra value.

--I don't mind, it is always good to have more than one opinion. There is always room for more questions.

do you know how many beads there are for small beads as opposed to large beads for the 1966 silver dollar?
--I think it is the same number on both, that number is not listed in the Canadian books.

To tell the difference you need to see where the I in REGINA is pointing. Small beads I points to a bead while LB points between the beads.

  19. 1954 $1 bill, the serial is z/f5284533 signitures are lawson boouey

This is a common type, so that site list the minor and major varieties, not the normal series.

This would just be a Lawson-Bouey note about $1.00 in low grade.
    It is there.
