My Canon camera came with something called Zoombrowser which has a great editor but limited. Anything complicated gets done with GIMP.
Trying to make an anitmated .gif looked simple going by an online tutorials but I've been trying and struggling.Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02349516488425977793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14411073.post-78648469015154912502009-06-20T12:14:05.055-04:002009-06-20T12:14:05.055-04:00Man, that is great stuff again! is GIMP easy to us...Man, that is great stuff again! is GIMP easy to use? I've often thought about trying it, but have just struggled through using PhotoDraw and Paintshop Pro, but it's a PITA to have to keep swapping from one to the other, to do one small thing, then back again etc.

You know what would be awesome; some of those fibre-optic lights like you can get on mega-expensive models of "Star Trek's" "Enterprise", like this one here.James (UK)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09835526134217618466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14411073.post-60065308825841135592009-06-20T04:00:03.684-04:002009-06-20T04:00:03.684-04:00Dare him, James, double dog dare him!Dare him, James, double dog dare him!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14411073.post-80573333226409241362009-06-20T02:29:09.934-04:002009-06-20T02:29:09.934-04:00Don't tempt me.

They're oversized but it's not impossible to make a counter.

For those who are tempted just a simple wire folded over itself is enough to complete a circuit while a coin passes over and attached to a "coin" cell battery.Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02349516488425977793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14411073.post-59842839859474285352009-06-20T01:34:40.182-04:002009-06-20T01:34:40.182-04:00That is simply overwhelmingly fantastic! Because you'd forgotten to connect it to the mains! ;-)

Next challenge; someone puts L.E.D.'s in it, to make it light up, and a miniature screen connected to a PC, running something like a PowerPoint slideshow of the "counting" / "out of service" screens etc.

;-)James (UK)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09835526134217618466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14411073.post-18154329370036953522009-06-19T23:53:56.215-04:002009-06-19T23:53:56.215-04:00*laughs*
